Let's All Laugh At McIIroy

The Jack and Jill foundation does incredible work. This money will change peopleā€™s lives. Unreal.

I think the ā€˜Irishā€™ soccer stars going to the Euros should donate their fees and bonuses and all earnings to local Irish charities like Rory has done this week. They are paid huge amounts for being pretty average and it would be a nice human gesture from them

Denis Oā€™Brien donated ā‚¬2.7 million to charity last year, does that make him sound?

Denis o Brien doesnā€™t play golf for a living you fucking goon.
Rory is giving something back. What he is doing has nothing comparable in Irish sport. The Irish sports stars have gotten away for years with visiting Temple Street with a photographer. Rory has upped the game here.

Rory isnā€™t even from the south but is willing to;

  • play under the tri colour
  • return to Ireland to play the Irish Open and support it financially
  • has Irish limited companies, and uses Irish businesses and professional services firms such as the noble Communications Clinic for his activities

What a contribution to Ireland.

DOB won a state awarded mobile phone contract then sold it and brought the taxable profits abroad. Moriarty Tribunal aside.

Julioā€™s on fire here

Rory McIllroy Management Services Limited is an Irish limited company, which is what I said.

If McIllroy is bringing taxes abroad, he has every right to. His Nike Contract has fuck all to do with Ireland and what he can sell in the US. He owes this state very little. There is a bit of a difference between being awarded a mobile phone licence, a goldmine in the 1990s.

He has no point here whatsoever.

One is from Northern Ireland and earns probably 95% of his income abroad.

He doesnā€™t live in the south, isnā€™t from south yet is contributing a hell of a lot to the south.

What has that got to do with anything?

Does he contribute anything to the East or West ?

Nothing, but mbb is impressed for some reason

It wouldnā€™t be like mbb.

The Rory foundation benefits children across the whole of Ireland.

Funded primarily by dollars earned in the US. As far as I can see anything he has earnt in Eire he has given away to the less fortunate on this island.
His philanthropy model seems to be based on the same one Paul Murphy uses except Murphy uses Irish state money and Rory uses his own. To the Rory haters Murphy is a hero.

Fair play to McIlcunts PR guys, he finally got it right after years of making a fuck of it. A few mill of the NIKE money to keep the PR fires burning. Dragging a dead tournament back to life to act as a shrine to his own ego and the golf fans love it. The money will be put to good use no doubt, but his cuntishness will abide beyond it.

This is the real McIlroy when it comes to kids

Itā€™s gas the Limerick fellas who fawn over PJs every cynical calculated move having a cut at a young lad donating the guts of 750k out of his hard earned winnings to charity.

Tim Riggins lauded Rory for:

  1. Playing under the tricolour. Something he only agreed to under duress, after flip flopping more than a Waterford independent after being handed a ministry.
  2. Returning to play in the Irish open. An event which counts towards him meeting the requisite number of European tour events to qualify for the Ryder cup. In addition it would be seen as standard for all players to play in their home countries open.
  3. Using Irish business. Presumably Tim also includes businesses Rory sues the fuck out of after trying to break contract in this category as well?
  4. Tim criticised DOBā€™s use of an offshore tax base to avoid paying taxes. I merely pointed out that our Rory did the same.

Finally someone worth an estimated half a billion donating $750k, while laudable, is the equivalent
of someone living hand to mouth on the average industrial salary of circa ā‚¬36,000 donating ā‚¬50. A figure Iā€™m sure most on that wage would surpass in any given year. He also can write it off against tax (if he pays any) meaning the figure is much less to him.

Iā€™ve no major problem with Rory apart from thinking heā€™s a cunt. The fact that he donated money to charity does not make him any less of a cunt. Similarly DOB donating money to charity does not make him less of a cunt. While we are at it, Bono donating money to charity does not make him any less of a cunt.

PJ is also a cunt.
