What would a pro footballers average day be though? Prob about 4-5 hours max at the training complex every day, plenty of time to do a big commute in their high end motors.
Back when I was a paid amateur we trained 2-3 times a week pending if we had midweek matches. It’s a great lifestyle really, obviously can be tough enough when you move away from home at a young age, I think that’s where a lot of young lads go wrong rather than them being not good enough.
Hmm
There’s actually lots bizarrely, and lots of truly dreadful places.
The Peak District is very nice, especially if you’ve a bit of local knowledge. There’s loads of trails.
The lakes is beautiful.
Cornwall is really nice.
Cotswolds is ok only for me.
Northumberland is lovely, but the weather is ominous.
What are you looking to do?
The Cotswolds would be well enough down on my list.
Cornwall, Lake District and rural Northumberland are nice parts of England. The rest of the country is a dump. I’d give London a pass though , it’s the best city going in many ways
Was in Shrewsbury once with work but it didn’t strike me as a very attractive place. It was grand. The worst part was flying into Birmingham and having to head out past Wolverhampton etc.
I remember when Shay Given played with Stoke, he remarked that a lot of the squad lived in London and commuted every day. Training would be at 12 to facilitate that.
