So Campbell Ogilvie, current SFA President and former Rangers Secretary, has finally released a statement. He says that he was aware of the EBT scheme and was part of it! But he says he was only involved in registering player contracts and not negotiating them and has no knowledge of any dual contracts.

It’s gas. Vast tracts of the Scottish media are still trying to close ranks and protect Rangers when they’re sitting on a massive story. You had Chick Young on BBC Scotland saying Ogilvie had no knowledge of any of this last night and being very definitive about. But the story’s being covered by the likes of Alex Thomson of Channel 4 now and he’s doggedly going after every angle, which is obviously good to see.

But these bids are not binding or anything and I really don’t think anything can realistically be progressed until the tax case is resolved.
The administrators have said they’re going to commence a detailed examination of the bids and their conditionality early next week.
