Limerick ‘21 v Kilkenny ‘08 - Who are the GOAT?

One thing about that Kilkenny team is they had it very easy in Leinster. Cody could prime them for August every year, they had two games where they had to peak for. Its easy plan a year when you know when you’ll need to peak for with absolute confidence and still beat teams in Leinster handy

I suspect that I’d they had access to Coleman they would have found a place for him, a few of the forwards would have made the team as well and possibly Timmy O

You could indeed.

Coleman is a flaking hurler but wouldn’t make thst Cork defence z. Possibly up the field & certainly not midfield with Tom Kenny and Jerry O

Harnedy for Timmy Mc and thats about it

Harnedy did ok last week but his best days are played . At his peak probably

Horgan for one of the Kieran Murphys or Neil Ronan

Well fraggy Murphy started our last all ireland win id say Hoggy would walk in too

Harnedy got 5 or 6 points in a dysfunctional forward line and worked his hole off, in an all Ireland final. I don’t get this line that he is finished. He was Corks best forward again from play this year

Yeah I assumed horgan was a given. Horgan and Harnedy are the only two worth a fuck still in Cork. The rest haven’t an ounce of dog in them

He was good ok but not the force of old . A few loose points too when game opened.

He looks a little laboured when running .

I agree he would have made Cork team 2003 to 2006

Kyle Hayes is better than JJ Delaney was.

Handy now kid handy…

Kyle Hayes is as good as ever you’ll see. Both played in absolutely dominant lines, but Hayes offers far more threat.

I wouldn’t argue with too much of that without reading through the synopsis but Derek Lyng was an excellent all round midfielder who could play it any way you wanted it and a better player that Will O’Donoghue. O’Donoghue knows his limitations and is excellent in his role and has become a very effective player but is in essence a high end spoiler, Lyng was top class.

They’re very different. But that’s blasphemous of you.

Once teams started assigning a man marker to spoil lynch at midfield the obvious move was to push him to centre forward.

I think Finn is just a sensational man marker with plenty of hurling.

If you were a manager, who would you prefer to play against?
I don’t actually think the two compare well. JJ a better defender, but KH a better player in general by far. JJ would have his hands full marking kh directly.

Very early on a Saturday for the goofballs mate. JJ is the GOAT.
