There’s lads on here much older than me who’ve suffered far more than I have. In my own time frame following Limerick I’ve seen us humiliated countless times, struggle to beat Kerry & Westmeath in knockout championship, go years without winning one single Munster championship match, trounced by Tipp & Cork endlessly etc but all that pain makes this team all the sweeter.

They’ve cemented their greatness today. That’s the legacy secured, you can fluke one but not two. In 50 years time this team will still be spoken about.

And I spent the evening in a pub where no prick from NPHET was pissing on our parade.
