Would Willie Griffin have played against Kildimo much in Championship before tonight?
Never before. K/P havenāt been senior in 70 years prior to this.
Would there still be bad blood there?
Adare prevail by two, a late consolation goal for DOC with the last puck of the game.
Darren OāConnell with a late consolation goal for K/P.
Adare run out deserved winners by 1-21 to 1-19.
Over Willie?
Heās gone to Adare with 10 or 11 years at this stage. K/P are a different club nowadays and wouldnāt be fielding a whole lot that heād have played with.
I actually think a 2 point margin of defeat flattered Kildimo a bit. Adare were 5-6 points a better team.
There would still be savage bad blood. His cousin Liam was excellent for k/p tonight.
Is Barry OāConnell still playing for Kildimo?

Glenroe outscored D/A 2-7 to 0-1 in the second half today. Big big win for them
Correct.Adare were that bit sharper and took their scores well.Kildimo will be happy enough with the first year in senior.Lots to work on but the futures bright.
Knockainey are gone back it seems from a tricky senior team to a losing intermediate side. Have they lost a few?
Not good enough tonight. I donāt think we played anywhere near our potential, and that is very disappointing, to play below what weāre capable of means that weāll have regrets. We werenāt bad and weāll probably get lots of plaudits for a brave performance etc, etc. But while there certainly were positives to take, a consolation defeat is still a defeat and the group will know that we had more in us.
Too reliant on Kyle to win primary possession at times, and thatās something to reflect on, better teams will just harry, harass & obstruct him so that he canāt get any space. Adare were better than us on the day, but theyāre not all that.
Didnāt do ourselves justice. We were up and putting a lot of pressure on them, Hannon got a sniff of goal (didnāt overly influence the game in general play) and buried it. He was class when he did touch the ball, as you would expect. But our response to the goal was what really let us down; they got the next few points. We rallied after the penalty save but we were never able to stem their flow of scores, which meant that weād always need a goal, which came just that bit too late.
A lot to think about over the winter if we want to progress to the next level. Hopefully have a right cut off the Premier Minor and U-21 A (why weāre not in the Premier, I do not know) as well as the football now. There is so much potential for improvement on todayās performance, we just need to work on how to get that out of them. We learned from painful defeats in 2019 & 2020; weāll need to do the same tonight. Really gutted, I really believed we have a better group of players than them.
Thatās the learning process. Objective one was stay up senior. Yeāll build on that next year.
Who are Kilmallock meeting in the QFās? Is there a draw to be made?
Presume thereās a draw. Liberties or Adare. Spike isnāt bothered which one of them we meet.
Yes Barry was playing tonight.

Not sure finishing score but St Patās were 18-3 up at halftime. A massacre.
