Limerick GAA 2022 - Dual Kings (Part 1)

Do ye have stuffing and coleslaw in the snackbox?

I don’t do snackboxes. And I hate coleslaw.

Townie.

Been called worse.

Funnily enough I’ve already been locked in a fierce debate of Croagh’s westness on WhatsApp

To be real west Limerick you have to tick all of the following boxes.

  • been served in Coolio’s when you were 16/17
  • the Weekly Observer is a staple in your house.
  • every family holiday was to Kerry, usually Ballybunion. Stopping off in Jumbos in Listowel on the way back from said holiday also compulsory.
  • placing the fabled junior A hurling championship above all else.
  • you either love or hate the FF Collins clan.
  • Jim Long reffed your GAA matches when you were a young fella.

And you vote for them regardless.

You’ve had a stuffing chip

Askeaton Castle bates all those castles and was the Desmonds main base in the area for many years.

Forgot that one, my bad. The stories out of the Hellfire Club beside it are even more interesting than the castle.

A huge factor is what constitutes “town”

If it is NCW then you are a bona fide Westie

Must have had at least 75% of the Dressed Chip menu
