Nash almost in for a goalā¦ itās going to happen some day, a goalscoring corner-back, I canāt wait.
Showed some turn of pace there, Iād say he was roaring at Reidy to hand it over
OOR does a fair bit of foostering. Top, top umpiring there.
Not rising the ball with two hands and missing the pick-up, time after time, is very frustrating. Because once he gets the ball in his hand, heās a serious threat, heās only hurting himself by not making sure of it.
Itās already a thing at club level.
Brian Butler scored one for Ballyhale in Kilkenny Co. Final.
Tadhg Foley was in for one too last week for Ballygunner but was brilliantly denied by Barry Hennessy.
Fairly handy score for Mackessy the Kerry number 3 there. Had the run of the pairc.
Pat Simon
Total dominance here. I know itās only Kerry but itās been very impressive for a first outing of the year. Doing the right thing, and despite a completely new team out there, theyāre linking up well together.
1-3 for Simon, 0-4 for CON, Reidy must have 2 or 3 from play as well, Coughlan has 2, BOG has 1.
Richie English totally dominant at the back, Nash & Boylan going well too although Kerry have very little in attack. Coughlan venturing forward nicely, Connolly quiet but effective (not that much for him to do in a protective role). CON has been really really good, just needs to move forward with the ball when he gets it, I think his first instinct is to run backwards.
The only slight downside is that itās not really sticking with DOC & OOR inside. Working hard but need to retain possession when it is delivered in. Quinlan going off is disappointing too.
Hoping to see POD & Adam in the second half.
Always the same
Havenāt seen a 1st half hammering like that since August. Great to see
Iām sickened Iām not there, lovely afternoon for a match.
Dropping balls short at this level is criminal and Kerry have done that on too many occasions. You can see the difference in conditioning between the two teams. They also only have one puck out option. You wouldnāt see that at club level. Top 4 snr club teams in a limerick would beat this Kerry side.
Limerick look sharp for first game back. Backs playing well but havenāt much to do. JB has ventured up the field a few times. Richie English looks like man thatās hell bent to get his place back. Love to see it. Debutant Rory Duff settling nicely but will be looking to push on a bit in the second half.
Youād wonder what state Tipp hurling is at, looking at this.
Speaking of the difference in conditioning, one of the Limerick backs came out with the ball in first half over by open stand side, might have been Coughlan. Kerry lad went to shoulder and just bounced off him.
Eh that would nearly be a given for every team playing for the Liam MacCarthy. Oh hang onā¦
Yeah, and English flattened another fella when he was off-balance; looked as though English would be dispossessed but heās an absolute animal.
Adam English
And why would the boys go that road? Both will chomping at the bit to get their spots back in green.
Because the risk/reward of rushing back isnāt worth it.
Goal for Reidy; not sure why he went for it, obviously spotted a gap.
