Limerick GAA 2022 - Dual Kings (Part 1)

Oh it’s far from ideal. We could still turn over anyone. Hell, we could still go up. But I think it’s our most winnable game left

Do we know whether the draw tonight includes the scheduling of the fixtures (as in, who we’re playing first, etc)?

They normally do it alright.

Eg first round is Team 1 v Team 4 & Team 2 v Team 3 etc.

Second round is Team 1 v Team 2 & Team 3 v Team 4 etc.

As ever the main interest will centre on the junior hurling championship draw and the inevitable Group(s) of Death.

The intermediate hurling draw will be intriguing too, as it reverts to the pre pandemic format of 2 groups of 6 teams each.

Are these being done live on Facebook or YouTube what lads?

It says social media so I suppose streamed to Facebook & Twitter, maybe YouTube aswell.

Hard to predict a clear winner from the outset.

Murroe/Boher probably should be the strongest, having just come down but they’ve been in freefall, need to sort themselves out.

Croagh/Kilfinny had a great first season at the grade, Bruree probably threw away their semi-final, you’d expect Na Piarsaigh to be stronger if their seniors get their injured players back. And the likes of Granagh/Ballingarry, Pallasgreen & Feohanagh have probably underachieved in the last year or two.

It ran nicely for Croagh last year with the 2020 junior a grand preamble to 2021 inter . They are young and good and will get better

Pity Murroe and Coragh were kept apart. The Slippy Hickey derby could have been worth a watch

There’s no handy group, but no absolute killer group either

Was it a completely open draw? And is it 2 or 3 teams qualifying this year?

Based on last year, Group 4 does look the weakest.

Group 2 looks tasty.

The great thing about the junior A is previous years form seems to go completely out the window for a couple of teams who will go on a run out of nowhere

Yeah, like St. Kieran’s this year. Or even Caherline.

I guess Rathkeale are probably one of those that if they got organised and gave it a proper go, could potentially be decent enough rather than whipping boys.
