Limerick GAA 2022 - Dual Kings (Part 1)

You are probably right but then there’s a massive step up to senior at 21. Many players will need at least a year to make the transition.

But let them transition then when they are physically more prepared

It’s no real secret that the GAA hierarchy want rid of that grade anyway. The rule, whether right or wrong, is designed to push things in that direction as much as anything else.

It was a bit cheeky for the Limerick hurlers to have a tough training session the day before, and another one on the Sunday morning of the Cork League match

Three* All Irelands.

More delicious tears.

Shur there was nobody there only Big Rob Ryan.

I’d challenge anyone to watch back the 2020 semi final between Limerick and Galway and not become immediately depressed by it all.

That All Ireland Semi Final v Galway in the cold fog was iconic, it’ll live long in the memory. The whole winter element to it and the covid thing made 2020 an even sweeter All Ireland if anything, to be honest about it. It’s savage to win those unique All Irelands that stand apart from others.

We’ve done it all, “in winter’s rain and summer’s golden sun” as our song says…almost like a prophecy coming to life.

That winter all Ireland performance was poetry in motion. Some of the scores Limerick got that day were incredible

Hego in his pomp, rampaging in the December mist. Unreal.

They’ll speak about it in 1000 years. Immortals.

Hegarty and Tom Morrissey raised the spirits of the nation in a manner not seen since Gerald Kean’s gaeity during the recession.

Hego with 0-7 from play wasn’t it? A performance for the ages. He was hitting scores from Parnell Park. Unbelievable.

Imagine scoring the equivalent of 7 points in back to back All Ireland victories?
Iconic

Anyone can win an All-Ireland.

The top teams always back it up, though.

2-1 last year wasn’t it? Or was it more? Some going alright. Has anyone equalled it? 14 points from play in back to back All Irelands?

A lean, mean, clotheslining scoring machine

A well organised and calculated surge here. Admirable formation. The Russians could learn a thing or two.
