I was thinking about it again today and maybe the fact he wasnāt on the minor squads or 21s until he was at the age meant he rapidly improved his base skills unlike other players when joining the senior squad.
There was literally more improvement left in him than other players whoād been exposed to a high level of coaching for a longer period than him. I presume in the past 3 or 4 years heās practising hurling much more than football than he used to also. He is obviously incredibly dedicated too which helps. Iām fairly sure he used to regularly smash the footballers fitness tests.
I remember him being used as target man against cork around 2017 in the league. Three years later heās one of the most dominant players in the country.

The roads are fierce mucky these days, beet season. Having to wash the car once a week now. But itās grand, I wonāt complain.

The under 20 and minor championships are resuming. I Think the games are fixed for the all Ireland weekend.
Stupid to fix the match conditional on other things happening. Iām sure a lot of people would be of the view that thereās lots of other places Limerick could have trained, but why did the two things have to clash at all.

When the LGFA booked the Limerick venue in the middle of last month, they were told by Limerick County Board that in the event of Limerick reaching the All-Ireland hurling final, John Kielyās panel would get preference over the ladies football fixture if it was a case the Limerick hurlers required use of LIT Gaelic Grounds for a training session on Sunday, December 6.

We chatted about this before. Other than Bohermore and the ones you mentioned at the back of the Model School there doesnāt seem to be any in public use. All the old ones have been demolished. The CIE club looked completely rundown and deserted the last time I passed. Your only hope would be the new indoor one in Southill Community Centre. The community Centre website seems to be gone. You could try the Community Hub and see what they say. Iād be interested to know how you get onā¦
