Officially time to start going for goals here
Depressing to see womenâs junior teams playing this possessiony shite as well.
Surely thereâs merit in at least letting the play finish?
Cora Stauntonâs a ball bag with very little knowledge of any football outside of the top 4 counties, which is pretty standard for a Sunday game panelists.
And somehow is a âPerformance Coachâ to Galway Senior Camogie too now
Would be like Gareth Bale becoming a coach for Munster Rugby. Recently retired player coaching in a completely different sport. Makes no sense.
Like âDonnerâsâ with Waterford
Willie OâMeara giving another exhibition.
Has two of the best goals youâll see scored.
Lead 2-13 to 1-12
Haha literally!
Feenagh propelling themselves to Junior Hurling Championship favorites.
Looking forward to the fireworks at 1pm today in ncw in an all west derby between feenagh and raheenagh
Askeaton cruising to victory with a very comprehensive performance.
3-23 to 2-17
All over 3-24 to 2-17
Havenât tallied it up but I think willie scored 200 points and the supporting cast were much more on form today
Willie scored 2-17. 2-4 from play. An exhibition
What age is he?
Na Piarsaigh 2-13 Bruff 1-23.
Bruff had too much firepower for NaP with nine different scorers. Josh Keating had 10 from frees and two from play.
Having said that NaP hit an awful lot of wides.
Long way to go yet but Bruff look the strongest from what I have seen so far.
3 from 3 for Bruff now, isnât it?
Thatâs right.
Bruff - 6
NaP, Effin, Blackrock - 4
Glenroe, NCW, D/A - 2
Cappamore - 0
Just back from NCW.
Woodlands House Hotel JAHC Group 3 Round 2 RESULT.
Feenagh/Kilmeedy 3-27 Killeedy 1-08.
Stunning display from F/K obliterates their west rivals and propels them to outright favourites to winning the most coveted trophy in club hurling. Totally dominant all the way through, hopes of a tight contest quickly evaporated.
The launching pad for their success was an all conquering half forward line. When the game was a contest, John OâGorman landed a couple of beauties from out by the sideline. He was involved in the first goal too, intercepting a short puck out to the wing back, driving forward, pop pass to Moss Fitzgibbon who in turn drew the cover before flicking across to Neilus âNeilyâ Ryan who batted home nonchalantly.
12 down at the break, shell shocked Killeedy needed a quick start on the resumption which they duly got when the burly Cian Magner Flynn, one of Killeedyâs few bright spots, drove a daisy cutter of a 21 yard free to the net.
Normal service resumed immediately as three quick points at the other end cancelled out the goal before the impressive Ruairi OâConnor burst through and blasted to the net past the exposed TJ Kelly. OâConnor was a constant threat throughout in the corner, your stereotypical corner forward and he crowned a fine display by haring through late on to create the chance for Fitzgibbon whose ground pull flashed to the net for goal number 3.
F/K, sporting white and red hooped shirts, were dominant in every sector. Pretty sure all 6 of their starting forwards scored from play plus wing back David Boyce and sub Sean Kelly. Thatâs fair going for a junior outfit.
That half forward line triumvirate of OâGorman, Fitzgibbon and Diarmuid Coleman are as good a line as youâll get at this level. Lovely blend of ball winners, physicality, pace, guile and score taking ability. Coleman was probably man of the match, a few misses from placed ball aside which could be costly in tighter matches. He grabbed the score of the day, an outrageous pointed sideline.
Two wins from two now, theyâll have a good cut off the junior football but whether a small club can maintain a fight on two fronts without a large pick remains to be seen. The hurling men in the club will want them to fuck off the football, no doubt.
Terrible day for Killeedy. Hard to see them raising a gallop in their remaining matches after consecutive defeats.
Pitch in NCW was in superb nick but sadly the scoreboard was not in operation.
25/26 Iâd say
Adare v Ballybrown a draw
