Limerick GAA 2023-2024.... 5 in a row is not here

If only we played played a few games in may, June and july and it was still bright. We couldnā€™t have that of course.

I think itā€™s partly requested by clubs. Partly shortage of referees. A lot of clubs have two or in some cases three teams out in a weekend as well.

That is literally what used to happen you daft yoke

As cited exactly ten years ago Granagh ballingarry had exactly the same number of championship games played 2013 as 2023 on the 1st of September.

2014 4 rounds of the senior hurling club championship played before September the first.

2015 5 rounds of the senior hurling championship played by the 1st of September.

2016 4 rounds of the senior hurling championship played by the 1st of September.

Itā€™ll dawn on this fella soon

2017 5 rounds of the senior hurling championship played by the 1st of September.

One in May, one in June, one in August.

Heā€™s wumming at this stage

And guess what happened in 2018 we had the first running of the round robin where we only had 2 rounds of the club championship played by September the first.

Heā€™s been wumming the whole time sure, heā€™s just not very good at it

In correct theyā€™d 4 football and 3 hurling played.

And did anything else happen in 2018 that might have changed the fixtures?

So trying to claim somebody is wumming after
Your point about the club championships being held up September was completely destroyed.

Yes the fuck heads destroyed the club game and banished it to a mini blitz in September and its just gotten worse since then.

Iā€™ll explain it to you once more for the laugh.

One game in April/May, one game in June then no game until August, is not a preferable structure for club players.

The game in August could happen anytime depending on how Limerick got on, so there was no certainty.

This isnā€™t about playing the club championship off faster. In some counties they have actually been able to add in extra games because of the new structure.

It is about club players having certainty as to when the games will take place, and county players being able to fully partake with their club. Club players no longer have to peak in April, then take a month off and start again for August or maybe September.

This system is imperfect, but miles better than the old one

Your wasting your time lad

What a load of rubbish. The county managers were the ones causing fixture carnage.

They were the only issue.

The solution was to give them open season on eight months of the year to run off the most boring inter county championships of all time.

Meanwhile 2 of the big 4 football clubs wonā€™t field a second team despite the clarity over fixtures.

Almost like thereā€™s less players playing now than before because the season is a load of shite.
