And across the All Ireland Semi Finals and Finals in those three seasons , he’s never started a game and his total minutes played just about adds up to one half of hurling.

Like I said he’s got ability and will turn out to be a fine player no doubt but there’s no point overegging things either.

He’s the ability to be next Joe canning. His ball striking from distance is off the charts.

He’s only 21. Most lads aren’t making it till 23 now and he’s trying to break into one of the best teams of all time.

He’s going to absolutely tear teams apart.

Cathal O’Neill is the next GOAT.

English, O’Brien and O’Donovan (all yet to puck a significant ball at senior level) are the best youngsters in the country.

The Bull O’Briens ability to win his own ball Wednesday evening was great to see. He was outstanding. His movement was top class. He has an incredible hand. Just needs to brush up on the shooting. That will come.

Patrick O’Donovan then trusted on the frees too was an indicator of the confidence he has. A serious prospect lads.

Will be a nice test vs Cork next Wednesday in Rathkeale. You’d imagine Kiely will pick a similar team to start.
