Even though we are off form, there has been incremental improvements with each game we’ve played in Munster. Bar the first 20 minutes against Waterford, we were relatively poor. We improved against Clare while still hitting stupid wides. We were better again yesterday and should have seen the game out, despite not being great in the first half.

Can’t start Lynch or Hego next Sunday on current form. They both owe nothing to Limerick fans given what they’ve achieved and the great days we’ve had since 2018. But introduction from the bench at best. Start CON at 11. Richie has to start at corner back instead of Mike Casey - who is not and never will be a corner back, just doesn’t have the pace required. Start his brother at 15.

Apologies if this has already be mentioned, but one thing that I cannot understand is our total inability to take a decent sideline cut. For such a talented group of individuals and management, we look clueless when it comes to sidelines. Two fluffed ones yesterday led indirectly to two Tipp scores. Neither Nash nor Byrnes are competent on them and Hego seems happy to tap them. Sometimes you just need the ball sent up the other end and away from your own goal, particular when you have a one point lead in the last minute. It’s just baffling.

You can’t handpass a lineball. That’s the problem.

I have no time for the Limerick’s but Quaid is one of the good guys, and did fumble a ball a few minutes after going down for treatment and was unsure of himself on a few puckouts at times in the first half. He didn’t look right.

I could be wrong but he looked like he might have had a migraine or something.

Would going down on one knee help a migraine?

All the commentary about Limerick being dirty, big bad bullies yada yada and just endless bitching in general has seeped into the minds of refs. Limerick players are being rubby tackled 2 handed and it’s being let slide. Kyle was dragged to the ground two handed v Waterford and got booked and they were being taken out iff the ball all over the field. Hego is getting it all championship, literally holding onto him and dragging him rubby style. Clare players were very visibly holding Limerick players back with hands around the waist rubby style… Good luck to them if they can get away with it, it’s not a whinge…but it’s just bizarre from an officiating point of view as they are looking at it.
On the flip side Limerick look to have lost aggression due to the constant narrative being pushed and some bias in reffing.

They’re no angels, the spare arm is something they’ve been guilty of plenty… But teams look to have free reign agin them this year… Price of being successful i suppose.

If Limerick are knocked out of the championship, in the context of a draw and a one point loss, it will be fair to say that Clare and Tipp’s illegal and unchecked off the ball holding of Limerick forwards was the reason Limerick went out. But we won’t complain about that, so we won’t.

I am absolutely zen my brother. Just making my points, when Limerick are in the wrong I will call it out. Simple fact in all the games played over the last 5 years we have only blatantly cheated in one instance. Anyway nobody gives a fuck as it will just roll on until the next team dominates and they will be under the same microscope.
