Limerick GAA 2023-2024

So we should put the velodrome in the city centre?

Put it where the Peter pan fun world used to be over on Clare street

The people of Limerick will not accept a fun-size velodrome.

If it could be combined with an indoor event space - why not. The cente could be an indoor sports area - put some local sports teams in there in the evenings.

A veledrome museum might be a runner

She’d be a big enough yoke.
With the usual parking requirement. Buses, the lot.
I couldn’t see it working out in the city centre…

Parking!?

The refugee camp around the perimeter is a nice touch.

you wouldn’t put it in a dome in the city centre.
Parking - sure where are all the office workers parking for the opera centre. they will be leaving at 6 - ideal!

You should see it at the moment; it manages to slope in both directions and there’s a certain point where the ball will just roll down for a sideline. I don’t know how they play matches on it tbh.

They purposely leave the grass longer there to stop the ball rolling away.

I d say your last paragraph is 100% correct

I remember one year a lad agreed to join our club in dublin, he had moved to our area and his club were way off another side of Dublin. He was originally from down Munster direction.

He seemed keen to play with us but was evasive when it came to meeting him on the transfer paperwork and there was a bit of panic on as there was a narrow window for such transfer requests to be submitted

I had it out with him as to what was the issue. The lad was in a bit of a predicament. He moonlighed a bit with the dublin crowd for a year or two while playing @home still and then fell in permanently with the team in Dublin for several years , however a formal transfer form was never filled in meaning he wasnt quite sure what club he should go to sign the release forms!

I have forgotten how we tidied it all up!

Newcastle handed out the only hammering

Spike must be really counting every penny.

Limerick just not being enough of a Hurling County to make it financially viable will be a tough one for a lot of fellas on here to swallow.

He’s both stubborn and unimaginative.

Worried about being sued so taking the ball home instead of trying to make something work.

90% of the Limerix on here giving about about it would only ever source it through Bang.

Just cancelled my bang subscription . No need of it now.
