Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

Mungret subs made the difference.

KP looked short of depth in comparison.

Barry and Darren O’Connell had enough ball to narrowly win the game but they did not…

Kyle was awesome. A pleasure to watch him in action up close.

We are the guardians of the game so take a keen interest everywhere.

Ye are very insecure that we simply know more than ye about everything.

Ye’re greatest ever team doesn’t even rank in the top 3 ā€˜Greatest Sides of All Time’ (at a minimum) and ye’re best team of the modern era aren’t even in the conversation for the best team since the turn of the millennium. A paltry 4th best side in that era. Fourth…and they full of ye’re so-called ā€˜Hall of Famers’.

Guardians of the Game indeed.

Haven’t gone through to see if mentioned but Caherconlish, Hospital, Kilteely and Murroe all have some form of stand anyways.

When will you be publishing your weekly twee love note to Limerick hurling? #thismeansmore

Youre a pound shop Marty Morrissey who thinks he’s Roy Curtis ffs

You’ve taken the news about the rubby players pending lawsuit and the death knell of the game very badly it seems.

No more soggy biscuit for you and the goys :sob:

Wow. Some pivot

Throw up 500 words there on the meaning of the beautiful game and what the three in a row means to the people of Limerick. There is an audience for it @thelimericks #thismeansmore

What was it that stung most in that post that really got you?

Was it the ā€˜And yet…not worth a fuck’ line?

Was it that?

Why would that sting, its accurate? It just amuses me massively when a grown man entire personality is tied to the success of a team, like Roy Curtis

The irony, fuck me. Oh and as per it’s the last thing at night and first thing in the morning… in your heeeaaaad :notes:

There’s been a moider

Jesus the cork boy took a bateing here, did no one send out the klaxon?

Absolute nonsense.

If you seriously think that this current crop of robots from Limerick would beat a swashbuckling peak Tipperary side from 2009-2016 then i feel sorry for you.

A much worse Limerick team sent Tipp home with tae in their mugs in 2013 and 2014

Tbf, they did beat most of the same players in 18 in the first round. They’d great skill and longevity but wound up very inconsistent.

Jesus Richie Mc would rock up with a winter gut and send Callinan packing. Pawdee couldn’t handle David Breen. Imagine prime Hayes or Hegarty bounding past him.

Those games had about as much relevance as when Tipp sent this current crop from Limerick home with tea in their mugs in 2019.

The swashbuckling Tipperary of that era needed the really big stage to perform.

The fact that as pensioners they were still able to win an All Ireland Final by about 20 points while Limerick were at their peak tells you all you need to know about how good they were.

Hold on now. Are we saying a round robin dead rubber game has the same relevance as a Munster championship knockout game under the old format in the ā€œhalcyon daysā€. By God!

A pile of mouth watering ties there. The big 4 facing off in senior, but Garryspillane-Liberties, NCW-Glenroe, Effin-Bruff, BB-DB are all enticing in their own right. Effin will have a right cut off Prem Intermediate this year, the likes of POD and FOC spending time training with the seniors wIll do them the world of good
