I quite like Michael Portilloâs Great Railway Journeys programmes.
They took the piss out of him on Dalos pod before about it. He had a wry smile.
Jeez it was playing on your mind there for an hour and a half solid
Great show, thereâs something very likeable about Portillo despite his obvious British upper class appearance and even though I wouldnât agree with a lot of his politics.

Half time in sun drenched Rathkeale.
Granagh Ballingarry 0-6 Croagh Kilfinny 0-11.
A strong first 20 minutes from the men in blue and white. Tom McMahon, Andrew Meade, Josh OâConnor to the fore. Cian OâCarroll unerring with the frees. GBâs half forward line keeping them in it , Cathal OâKeeffe and Damien OâDonovan in particular.
Club game is fucked
Looks like a grand spot for a match
Be grand on a day like today. It was called the Bog Garden because it was a Bog, but theyâve done great work on it in the last decade or so and itâs a fine field now.
Claughaun 2-15 Castletown/Ballyagran 1-17 FT
Intermediate FT
Bruree 1-20 Murroe Boher 0-16
Croagh Kilfinny 0-17 G/B 0-16
Car Show or something?
A lot of those Tipp players had great seasons or multiple seasons. How many of them were really on form at the same time though? Those teams were wildly inconsistent
Croagh bastards
Gone to shit since Tobin retired. 3rd relegation beckons

Itâs on the Bog Road
Sam Cronolly did a lot of damage for Bruree. 0-4 from play, a sideline, a penalty which he won himself and a fair few frees.
Mixer got 0-3, as did Sam Williams.
Penalty was the turning point, M/B were a point up at that point but didnât respond well at all to the penalty. Bruree HB line sat almost inside their own '45 which meant there was no space at all for the dangerous M/B full-forward line. They hit a lot of aimless ball on top of the sweeper. When M/B ran at them, they did cause them problems but probably started too late. Jack Nicholas drove them forward but Bruree were comfortably the better team.

What bog road?
