Could be wrong but I thought it was 2017 that Barrett was dropped. Think heā€™d won the All-Ireland the previous year.

Maybe that was it. Would have been the difference when we lost by a point to Galway.

It was 2017 because Mick Ryan was manager at the time rather than EOS. I think he may have been injured anyway

Think so, yes.

ā€œInjuredā€

Just reading through the posts from the Tipp chaps above

The game has moved on lads, thereā€™s no place anymore for ā€˜Chubsters in Cooper Helmetsā€™ with huge arses huffing and puffing around injury ridden teams in finals*. Junior Hurling stuff ffs

*Sure what chance has any team in winning a final missing a few of their best players, surely that would be a bridge too far as it proved for that great Kilkenny team of 2006-10, wouldnā€™t it?

My personality?

I joined TFK specifically to read and post about GAA. Limerick in particular. Years before Limerick had any success.

What do you want to know about me mate, my thoughts on the writings of John Donne? My favourite holiday destination? Recent novels Iā€™ve read?

I promise from now on that Iā€™ll leave a little tidbit of insight into my personality with every post, just for you

Can you leave Dowling alone? He needs follicle help not slagging about his weight.

The Dow was a lean mean scoring-off-the-bench machine by 2018

In fairness, Bubbles waddling around Croker in his pomp and he panting like and struggling but managing to fire over a few great scores was iconic, but the party for the Chubsters in Cooper Helmets is over now, different times.

Apologies @gilgamboa I forgot to embellish my post about Limerick GAA with a little insight into my ā€œpersonalityā€ for you, so here goesā€¦

I like dogs but I hate cats. I think itā€™s because I feel I canā€™t trust cats, you know what I mean? Like they actually creep me out a bit, you never know what the sneaky bastards are thinking.

As opposed to a dog who is thinking either:

  1. Grub
  2. His iron

I think there might be a new thread in this

Expanding on your TFK Personality for the benefit of @gilgamboa

Maybe there is. I have an intense dislike of pigeons. Flying rats.
