Junior soccer.
Each to their own I suppose.
Junior soccer.
Each to their own I suppose.
everyones an amateur pal. Premier Division in Limerick is done a disservice being called Junior
I schooled you previously on the founding of my club I’m not familiar with the Well’s initiation so can’t comment there
how big a part did Jim Fawl have in changing the mentality around? Or were you gone by then?
I was gone by then but the sheer weight of numbers and success at under age was always going to pay off, my hope from a Limerick perspective is that Mungret and Monaleen should be similar going forward
Beary?
Is it Beary? Big lad on minor teams about 5 years ago, left handed, full forward
Ed Doyle? On the same minor teams as Lynch, Nash, Finn, Morrissey?
Jamie Porter I’d say
Football should only be played once you’re out of a hurling championship.
That’s it.
Any sort of distraction this week, I’ve been waiting all week for a crack off Ballybrown, barely a tap of work done.
The forecast rain could make it a right battle.
I’m going to head over to watch it
Monaleen and Mungret both had 3 on the minors this year, same as Doon. Na P had 4, the well and balbec only had one each
K/P had 3. They’re after doing savage, savage work
Good club hurler, great hands and smart but seriously lacks mobility. Don’t think he even played U-21 for Limerick but in fairness, tends to deliver for Monaleen when some of their other promising youngsters didn’t.
They still lack that one top class forward that might allow their other players stand out.
A lot of talk of this Mark Field young fella now. But still very young. Joe Fitz on the age this year is a good one, starting midfield as an 18yo.
The corner forward for u20s is lively but could improve his finishing a tad.
Donnacha is lively, but still a bit off the really elite forwards of which there are a few of around the county now.
And I think that if you want to beat the top teams, you need at least one of them. And as Ahane showed tonight, sometimes even having one isn’t enough.
which teams have elite forwards in the senior ranks?.. the big 4 obviously.
Yourselves, Ballybrown, Ahane, Liberites (Nash)
Potentially Adare if they played Hannon there but not this year.
But yeah, that’s it really.
Na Piarsaigh are falling down with them
