4 more tomorrow, what way are the knock outs set up is it first plays second from respective group qualifiers or open draw?
I think its
St Kierans vs Kilteely/Dromkeen
Patrickswell vs Doon
Any update from Bruff v Glenroe? Bruff 2 pts up at half time, cant seem to find a result anywhere.
Wins for Pallasgreen and G/B.
Team GB racking up 0-30 today. Very impressive stuff
That qualifies Pallas, yes?
Just back from balmy Ballyagran.
IHC Group 2 Round 5.
G/B 0-30 Kilmallock (2) 2-16
Team G/B record a fourth win on the spin as Kilmallock 2 are condemned to a relegation final against either Caherline or Murroe/Boher.
Fabulous conditions with the pitch in impeccable condition, John O’Halloran the man in the middle. It was 0-05 each early on, G/B not helped by losing a key player early doors through injury. Kicked on then though and the game was pretty much over as a contest by half time with the score at 0-17 to 0-07.
Second half meandered to a conclusion, a pair of late goals putting a bit of gloss on the scoreboard. Stanton was the @balbec ’s best player, the old stalwart Paudie O’Dwyer also fought manfully but G/B were the more balanced overall.
30 points a decent score. Fair spread of scorers and can have a good crack at the quarter final in three weeks’ time. Tipping away nicely but a big jump against (probably) Feohanagh or Bruree the next day.
The age profile of the side is pretty good so hopefully a good base to build on for the next few years.
Other results in the group today…
Croagh 0-22 Knockaderry 0-16
Pallasgreen 0-27 Hospital 1-18
Final table after a ferocious five rounds.
Croagh 10 points.
G/B 8 points.
Pallasgreen 4 points.
Knockaderry 4 points.
Hospital 2 points.
Kilmallock (2) 2 points.
Croagh finish with a 100% record in the group stage. Pallasgreen snatch third place and a quarter final slot as they beat Knockaderry and have them on head-to-head.
Likewise Kilmallock 2 and Hospital finish on two points each but the men in maroon won that clash when they met so stay up intermediate for another year. The great survivors, well done to them.
Now to tomorrow and a myriad of permutations.
Absolutely savage to be out playing club matches in this weather. All hail the split season.
Half-times:
Kildimo/Pallaskenry 0-11 Garryspillane 0-11
South Liberties 3-8 Ballybrown 0-11
Blackrock 1-12 Mungret/St. Paul’s 1-11
K/P and Liberties through as things stand.
We lost two games by a point. There’s no sympathy in this game for anybody
Limerick proved playing county in winter works. However, club in shit conditions can be awful sore on the eyes. The split season is necessary
Stoppage time in all three games. Remains the same as half time save for K/P pushing in front.
K/P 0-23 Garryspillane 0-19 FT
Mungret 2-20 Blackrock 3-17. FT

South Liberties 3-18
Ballybrown 1-20 FT
All down to the Mungret result now
Liberties through and will face the loser of Doon v Kilmallock.
K/P promoted to Senior A and will most likely face Patrickswell.
Liberties gave Kilmallock a good fright last year
They did indeed and could have won it if they kept their discipline. They won’t fear Doon either in an East derby.
Took us to extra time but we strolled through that. Looked a bit dicey for a while though
