Better than the balbec?
The roar when he comes off the bench will be something else
Sigh.
The Dow abides
Even we beat them⌠but they still have their U-13 medals.
If they can throw in a hair transplant with it the job will be oxo.
Walkover in an underage game?
Regarding the December fixing for Intermediate final, The Dow being in America for a while is only half the reason. Lads here losing their shit need to chill.
Croaghâs captain and lynchpin at 6, Tom McMahon, will be in the States for 2 weeks from the 16th. He booked the dates going by the master fixtures, as final was originally due to be played in late October.
A December 4th final means both Dowling and McMahon can play. Yes itâs a crazy time of the year to be playing a club final but it keeps everyone happy. Weather wise, thereâs a very cold snap due the end of November so hopefully will firm up Ballyagran pitch for this much anticipated final.
Arrogant C-K cunts
So the game was changed for Dowling, simple as that
No surprise to see the Limerick wagons circling and trying to twist things.
No surprise to see the chipp lads more interested in the third tier of Limerick championship than their own county.
Junior A Hurling Final
Saturday November 5
Dromcollogher/Broadford vs St. Kieranâs @ 2pm in Newcastlewest
Right from the outset, this was the hardest grade to predict in Limerick club hurling; there werenât many who would have picked these two as their two finalists. Last year, we were in Kilmallock as St. Kieranâs were well-beaten in the county final by Caherline. Their lack of natural firepower up front cost them that day as Caherline matched their athleticism and had enough down the other end to do damage. Drom/Broadford had a poor start to the season but recovered brilliantly and have overcome a few obstacles to get to this stage, including having to repel a fairly spectacular comeback from Patrickswell. A late goal from OâSullivan put them back in front when it looked like it was slipping away from them; the Well levelled and then Keith Lacey scored the winner in the 82nd minute or so.
Kieranâs were very comprehensive winners in their semi-final, they just had way too much for Killeedy in the end, and that has been the case all year long really. I made the mistake of writing them off before, I donât think Iâll be doing that today.
Style-wise, both sides are relatively similar. A lot of pace and athleticism in attack, both play to their strengths. Kieranâs are very well-organised, they donât have a massive amount of what you would call natural firepower, but they work the ball to the right areas and they take their scores. They take on their men a lot and like to run with the ball; youâve got lightning pace in Eoin McEnery, in Darragh Treacy, Sean Ryan, in Cormac Mann. McEnery & Treacy caused havoc inside the last day. Ian Mackessy is the exception, more of a sharpshooter than a runner.
D/B perhaps have a few more natural hurlers in their ranks but arguably not the same solidity all over; they did concede an awful lot to Patrickswell, where as Kieranâs were able to shut up shop against Killeedy with the McCarthys down the spine of their defence, and the likes of Cathal McEnery on the wing. But Derry McCarthy is capable of scoring from anywhere, Keith Lacey is a good shooter, Damien Burke & the Noonans, particularly Kevin, are nice hurlers. Then you have that pace aswell with Pierce, Brosnan, Molyneaux, Lacey.
It should be an interesting contest. Similarish-styles going up against each other. I am going to tip Kieranâs though. I just think they are built on a very solid foundation, they donât give up scores easily. If they donât give away frees, they are capable of grinding out games. Maybe they donât pick off spectacular scores from distance but they know what theyâre doing, and I think they have enough about them to get the scores theyâll need to win the game.
Should be a good game though. Kieranâs by 4.
Ooooftt!!
Imagine booking holiday by the master fixture list and then being fucked over because of a junket, having your game put back a few more weeks, and somehow thinking itâs ok
They donât think much of the average club player in Limerick
With the pick Na Pairsaigh have surely they could easily find a goalie to replace Dowling.
Youâve been vindicated on your stance around goalies.
A solid shower of cunts
JPâs hands are all over this.
