Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

I thought they had the electronic one?

They had an electric one on a trailer when we played there this year. Not sure if they rented it or what

Hopefully Dowling plays well considering he put the final back 6 weeks.

Dowling had to fundraise overseas. We don’t all have a fat benefactor like Mike Ashley signing the cheques.

Hard to complete with the Supermacs and Directsports of this world … it’s a real romance story that the little guy is winning so much.

Costs a fortune to reward the team for winning the All Ireland year after year. The WAGS are bored with Sandy Lane now

They had nothing any of the times I was there, I think that electric one was being moved around alright.

Beautiful day in Ballyagran for the Intermediate Final.

Some crowd in Ballyagran.

Croagh look to have a serious case of stagefright. Hitting some awful wides and have started doing stupid things. They had started well in general play but NaP on top now.

Hickey replaced now, he had been standing in FF, was thinking that it was an awful waste that he wasn’t at HF and hadn’t made any impact. Obviously injured.

HT: Na Piarsaigh 0-09 Croagh/Kilfinny 0-06

Since I posted that, C/K actually got on top and nailed 4 points in quick succession and also missed a free. Eoin Barry came on for Hickey and has made a big impact; I suppose having 6 forwards running around rather than 5 makes a huge difference, Hickey was clearly injured.

Na Piarsaigh had been well on top around the half-back line; Mark Buckley & Alan Dempsey giving them a serious option on the wings. John Fitz’s direct running at half-forward a big threat and won a free on the stroke of HT just to open up the gap a little bit again, they needed it as all the momentum was with C/K. But from about the 10th minute to the 25th, NaP were well on top and were using the ball way better. Sweeney & Daly inside particularly are big threats, and Sheppard is a big man too although his legs are gone completely I think.

Jack Lenihan hit a lot of bad wides early on and it seemed to affect C/K’s confidence and they started doing really stupid things and hitting aimless ball into the forwards. They’ve upped it in the last 6 or 7 minutes and are starting to win the scraps around the middle again but making more of an impression. Brian Hannon is doing well, James Lanigan working his way into it and got their first point from play. O’Carroll won a great free after a superb catch for a little fella but they have been mainly reliant on his frees for scores.

Still all to play for, C/K surely won’t be as bad in the second half and NaP went into a little lull of their own for the last 5 or 6 minutes. Only three in it it but NaP do have the wind to come and you’d imagine Dowling will start nailing frees from distance, C/K have given away some soft frees in their attack.

Bit of a weird scoreline.

We really came back into it last ten mins. Won a lot of 50/50s we were losing earlier. Alan Dempsey orchestrated so many attacks for Nap in that first half.

Level game, Croagh/Kilfinny on top now.

Level here at 0-10 apiece. Croagh with a strong start to second half.

Nap awarded a point there that was clearly wide.

Good response by NaP, 2 up again.

3rd point from Alan Dempsey from wing-back, unbelievable score with the wind at his back.

Goal James Daly, that could be it.

6 + injury time and 6 in it, haven’t threatened a goal.

Monaleen have Roscrea beat. ALTC pass to ed Doyle to back of the net
