Nope not one of the usual suspects.
Probably said by the bouncer in Nancys knowing that cunt of a place
Fuckin hell we are in an u20 final agaist Kilkenny. Thats another all ireland final we have to go to. (I wouldnt have bothered me hole if it was Wexford). Weāll be broke from it.
The independent gave it to him today
I was very surprised Mike Casey got man of the match yesterday. For my money Sean Finn was outstanding and if picking one from the full back line it should have been him. And overall Gillane was unlucky not to get it too. Hegarty had a great second half too.
Me too tbh. Not that he was bad, I just didnāt think he had a whole pile to do. He came out with some good balls, I guess, but he also had a swipe & a miss at a ball around the edge of the square that could have ended up in the back of the net.
I thought Finn powered into it in the last 15 but had a couple of uncharacteristic moments before that. Fouled the ball under no pressure which led to a handy score for McGrath, and got blown over the sideline by Stakelum, which McGrath also scored.
For me, DOD was our most consistent player and was MotM. Hego was immense in the second half and played a big part in our victory. Gillane scored 2-1; I think if more ball had gone in, heād have done even more damage but things broke down before then. Quaid really good again. The save from Kehoe was really really good, he was just so quick off his line. Puckouts excellent as always bar one or two mishaps.
I have seen 6 u21 all-ireland wins so guess I cant miss this one.
He was the third best of our full back line yesterday. I did notice that Daly credited him with making the block on Kehoe that was clearly Nash
Was it Sheady picked man of the match? I know it was him who called it out anyway. Very strange choice.
I said it about DOD in 2018 and was scoffed at by a certain poster
Isnāt Casey great friends with the Sow? Clubmates and all.
Thatās two games in a row Nash has made vital blocks.
Tom is up for the player of the week. I mean, he was good like, but was he even in the top 5 best players on the field for Limerick? Hego, Gillane, Dod, Finn, Casey, Nash were all better imo. I know a lot of it is unseen work with Tom and he did get a few nice scores etc. but Iām a bit baffled by that one
I genuinely think they look at the scoresheet, they see he got 4 points and automatically assume he had a stormer
He didnāt have a stormer but he always chips in.
Sure Iain Corbett just gets a default selection on Team of the Week anytime Limerick win a decent match. Whoever got the most points might get selected then as well.
I was actually looking for all stars betting there last week, because if Limerick make a munster final and get a token all star he is nailed on for it, whether he kicks a ball or not. Couldnāt find it. @Copper_pipe is it anywhere?
I strongly doubt getting to a Munster Final where you will probably be hammered in a game nobody watches would get you an All Star, a nomination maybe
The All Stars are usually decided by āmomentsā rather than overall performances. Eg Byrnes firing over points from play will always count for more than Darragh OāDonovan winning numerous turnovers or tackles in midfield.
If Limerick get over Tipp this Saturday - which is by no means guaranteed as itās a 50/50 game - then the player most likely to get a nomination would probably be Brian Fanning, for that goal against Clare more than anything. If he did anything resembling a decent job on Clifford in a possible Munster final heād be bumped up the pecking order again.
Canāt really see him actually winning an All Star itself though, Limerick would need to reach a quarter final minimum and avoid any hammering on the way.
It is weird. Tom wasnāt quite as bad as some people were making out, but he certainly wasnāt top class either.
I could understand just looking at who scored, but you would think thatās more for the matches that arenāt on TV. This one was actually broadcast?
