Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

Ray Cahill would have played senior football with Keirans.

Hes from the old mill though or is he

between ardagh and askeaton are they? what village would they mostly represent?

Not sure on that. There used be 5 or 6 Desmond league teams within the Kierans catchment area just Carrig & Creeves left now I’d say.

If I have the right fella he used to play underage soccer with old mill. Think he played with Carrig then before they folded, but they are back again now in Div 3.

Ya Kilcolman definitely had a team. Kierans parish is ridiculously big really

They play beside the pub the tatch there as you say between Askeaton, Rathkeale and Ardagh. They were kind of their own crew for a long time lads from around there, plus a few from here and there. Would have always had a few from Askeaton. But they are a bit of a united nations now. Thats what happens when you go up the leagues I suppose

Is there nowhere in Limerick that could have hosted it ffs

Not under lights anyway!

Not enough parking in Doon, I suppose.

Would Doon hold 1500?? It’s not enclosed anyway is it?

Mountcollins the only place for it

The footballers have played actual league games in UL but the hurlers won’t play a pre season match there.

I don’t see how MNP would hold much more.

It is enclosed now, I think. They’ve a fence on the dressing room side & stand on the far side. But parking would be a nightmare.

Especially this time of the year.

UL won’t let them on the good pitch at this time of year and hurling on astro is an abomination.

Bottom pitch in Martinstown and no more about it

Why are they 6 months waiting for the roof for a small stand?

Not acceptable.
6 months is a joke.
