Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

Who’s arguing with it?

You made a pigs ear of that post.

No issues except telling lies about it, so it would seem.

@Julio_Geordio

Tynan shouldn’t have flicked WOD across mid riff but it was harmless compared to WOD’s strike.

Obviously Will deserves the suspension, although I wouldn’t call it a ‘strike’. He pushed the hurley into his face rather than delivering an absolute strike. It’s a small difference but a lot less painful.

Who really cares if he misses a league game? He’ll take his punishment and we’ll move on, no point whinging about it.

The issue about selective post-match justice is a different one but one that seems to rear its head after all of these type of issues. There is no ‘citing commissioner’ like in rugby; do they just look at what was replayed on the TV coverage and base it on that? Obviously this particular incident wasn’t mentioned on League Sunday so they can’t be blamed this time.

I suppose the inconsistency is the potential annoyance for managers. Particularly combined with the rule that if the referee ‘deals’ with the issue and makes a complete hames of it, there’s no additional consequences (for example, what Damien Cahalane did in the Kilkenny match was way worse than anything that happened in the melee).

The Dow seems well able to pick up on infringements involving other counties yet totally ignored WOD last week.

The Dow is only the hired help, it’s Joanne calls the shots there.

Way way worse. Damien’s hit on Drennan deserved a game ban at least. Downey’s probably was a red but a bit ridiculous that he was the one player singled out.

It wasn’t written on the teleprompter for him.

Mungret & Casey’s appear to be doing all the damage again this year @ u15 and u17. Those clubs are an enigma. No adult success in nearly 2 decades for either club

Ten minimum.

If Limerick weren’t so good Cian lynch would probably be mentioned as one of the greatest hurlers of all times. He’ll probably still end up there but he probably suffers like some of the Dublin six in a row team.

The highlights reel when he calls time on his career will be a feature length movie.

Different class. The GOAT in waiting. He’s playing the game of hurling in a way no one has ever done before him . A bona-fide genius.
