Lads I think that should be the end of it, the lad made a mistake, we’ve all made mistakes, I’m sure he’s devastated. He’s probably been off the beer with months and just lost the run of himself and ended up in a situation. Hopefully he can put it behind him, I dunno if I agree with fucking a lad off a panel and using him as an example helps anyone. A bit of empathy and discretion would go a long way. Let’s move on and talk about something else please.

Agree with all this. Its time to move on. Keily has no empathy with his players, thats the problem. They are robots that only exist to obey his will, you can see that with the way they carry on with the whiteboard and their tactics on the field leading to the trouble they are contantly getting into off the field

What other choice did they have only fuck him off the panel? Sends the wrong message to everyone if he gets an “ah sure”, from his own teammates to the GAA public to young players and kids. We all make mistakes in life but the crucial part of life is the process of learning from mistakes and receiving consequences is a huge part of it. Drink is just a shitty excuse for shitty behaviour. I hope Pat Ryan is gutted by this, it would show him to be a much bigger person than when he bopped a lad.
