Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

The answer is still 0-0.

Will O’Donoghue was useless because he scored 0-0 by that logic. Stick to whatever goes on in the civil service, I’m sure it makes you feel useful

I actually thought duggan done well but he was wild to get rid of possession the very second he won it. I’m not sure it was some tactic but it was unusual.

Yes and? How much did Byrnes score from wing back? Positions don’t matter, roles do
Duggan attracted a lot of attention today and still had a positive influence on the game. Such nuances are lost on people like yourself

Not saying he had a bad game as he still did well. Just thought he was outmuscled for.positioning more than I’d have made notice ofbefore.

Ah shur Duggan is a monster. You’re trying to stop him catching it, but sometimes that won’t happen, you just have to spoil him as best as possible if he does and I thought Casey did that well.

I thought we were a little loose on Kelly when he was inside early on, but other than that, I thought our full-back line coped well. There was a lot of space in front of them in the first half, our half-back line were very high.

Nash has been in our top 3 players every match so far. He’s brilliant from that fullback line.

Every puckout at the end went through him, every single one. Because he’s trusted to make that second pass, no matter the length. I’m surprised he didn’t go for the shot at the end rather than delivering though.

I’d love to see what distances lads are.clocking. he’d have to be right up there as he’s up the pitch to add to attack and then always back in position to defend. He’s been immense.

Best hurler in the country pound for pound. Can do it all. He is probably the Linerick player most like Tony Kelly. Just a natch.

Nash is brilliant. His ability to take it on the chin that he wouldn’t start as a forward and reinvent himself as a do it all corner back is incredible. Limerick’s best player this year by a mile.

It’s like a double centre-back, it’s class, but to really see the benefits of it, we have to be at full-strength up the pitch. He needs to have a choice between pinging a ball to hand in the middle of the field (where he can be 100% sure the taker will take that pass under pressure), or he delivers it inside to the full-forward line and give them a chance to make it stick. Today; Flanagan, O’Reilly, Mul & Kyle all missed balls that they were probably favourites to win.

Byrnes putting it on the scoreboard probably has him a little ahead but Nash has been brilliant. Made a vital block to stop sure goals against Waterford and Tipp.

In the hurler of the year narrative yes for sure. I’ve felt Byrnes has looked dodgier on defence more so this year than last year. Granted that’s not his game anyway and he’s been asked to do a slightly different job this year too.

His cameo in the Munster Final of 2019 really was something else and changed the trajectory of this current Limerick team.

I haven’t thought so. I’d say he’s looked the best wing back in the country by a country mile.

will limerick bring much of a crowd to killarney Julio?

brought a big crowd to munster finals in Killarney in 1991 and again in the Lucey\Galvin era
