Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now šŸ

There is only one person that can replace Hannon in our team, and thatā€™s Nash. Heā€™s the only one with the same skillset; the rest might do a job but the overall team would become way less effective. And if Nash replaced Hannon, weā€™d be losing Nash from a role that is basically tailored for him. English is a great corner-back, as solid defensively as they come, but heā€™s not a playmaker.

Byrnes is similarly hard to replace; is there another wing-back in the country with the same range of distribution? Struggling to think of one. Again, the natural replacement for a Byrnes-esque distributor is Nash and again, you lose him from wing-back.

Both very hard to replace.

A lot of our lads are irreplaceable in what they bring to the team. Likes of Sean Finn is just a completely reliable corner back, but you could argue the team would be less effective without Nash.

Hegartyā€™s physicality and dominance, Kyles running ability, Nash as a playmaker, and Byrnes in his distribution and set pieces are very much irreplaceable

Paddy a big addition from the start.

Still no Hego or Mike Keane, but gradually getting stronger.

Oā€™Donovan is a little wizard. Delighted heā€™s getting his chance.

Tis a pity your county board didnā€™t put this on youtube. Great documentary.

Tis up on the bookface on Sporting Limerick.

I found it during lockdown on co. board Facebook page, Iā€™d have it down as one of the best GAA documentaries.

It will pale into insignificance behind the 30/30 documentary thatā€™s currently in production.

Do tell?

Only learned the other day that a guy by the name of Raff is behind that Sporting Limerick. Sound skin, his family have Enzos at the top of William St.

He often does some of the interviews.

I wouldnā€™t have paid much attention to it tbh. Lovely guy, some serious playstation sessions in his gaff above the chipper when I was about 17/18

Iā€™ve drank in that apartment :joy:. Youā€™d have a serious want for chips after. Raff is also the man on Daloā€™s podcast. A ballystinion

Weā€™ve a few very good local journos now covering the GAA

Jack Neville (also a ballystinion or ashkaytin man @Julio_Geordio??)
Raffa Rocca
Thereā€™s a Clancy lad?
John Keogh

Then youā€™ve Matt and Jerome and Mal.

Liam Aherne was excellent too but has moved up the gears to National level (does a bit of freelance I think)

Is Jerome not from Clare ?

Ballystinion, would be Dannyā€™s cousin, but then everyone in Ballysteen is a cousin
