Ah for fecks sake it is just backs or forwards. I was hoping it would have been between wing back or centre back.
Kyle Hayes gave some lovely balls into Gillane near the end of normal time and another couple in extra time. They resulted in crucial scores for Limerick.
He had a fine game and worked like hell throughout.
He was in a shouldering competition with 4 Clare players at one stage and he started laughing out loud. None of them made a dent. Midgets alongside him more or less.
The fella is some hurler. A generational talent.

When Hannon sets off into the sunset and Hayes is given the keys to the defence he’ll be the most important man on the field every game. Never seen such an outrageously superior centre back than him in those u21 days.
