Good to see daragh o Donovan and Kyle hayes giving some grub to the childās arc of the hospital.
Nice one
A mighty sound gesture from the 2 lads. ![]()
Bunda bears they called them
Richie English retired.
Iāll remember him most fondly for an absolutely racking clearing down the side line in 2018 v cork
All the best Richie. Cursed with injuries
Only 29 but I suppose it was the injuries rather than the age. Is Oola the football part of Doon GAA club?
A warrior, delighted for him especially he got his hands on the Daly Cup
Big loss to panel was a stand out club player will be tough to replace two all stars now gone from the panel in English and Mulcahy
Richie was a good one. Excellent as a minor, u21 and in 2018 and 2019 at senior. Cursed by injuries after that but still always deemed worthy of a matchday spot when fit. Wholehearted and a much better hurler than sometimes given credit for. He has some haul between inter county, fitzgibbon and now club with Doon. Did he go off injured again v Ballygunner?
Was it injury related? Will be a loss to panel
Has been crippled with injuries, his knee was very heavily strapped this year with Doon.
Id say itās a case of getting a good few years with Doon rather than pushing himself with limerick and finishing up in a year or two.
A tough nut on the pitch and gentleman off it, heās had some career. His presence with Doon full time could be a great asset if they have ambitions of winning more.
Fergal o Connor moves up pecking order now.
A warrior and a gent.
Very unfortunate with injuries, probably never fulfilled his potential as a result, but a very reliable player and a great fella to have in a dressing room.
And brilliant for him to get over the line with the club too.
They will need him no Quiaid, English, and Mulcahy from 2018 team number of subs that day have moved on that made a huge impact donāt know are the same calibre of player coming through
Yes
Was very unlucky with injuries and very unlucky to run into a team where he wasnāt quite good enough. Heād have been a mainstay had he come through a few years earlier. Still played his part. Need the young lads to step up now. Probably no harm to have a few gaps for fellas to step into. Team probably needs a very slight refresh
There are some great young fellas there. But not in the numbers we had to make the breakthrough. We donāt need that at the minute but thereāll be a massive cliff in a few years
Yes. Oola is the football and Doon the hurling. Its the way ahead for most clubs and they have it like that for yonks
