Limerick GAA 2024-25

@ciarancareyshurlingarmy who was the Clare No 6?

Harrington is a smashing player and like a few others could go up a few levels for the training he’ll get in there.

Mcmahon, kicked the 2 pointers (not a man to hide behind a printer)

Heard Kiely interviewed on the radio when down home at Christmas and he was very bullish at the level of talent in the county and trial games, was great to hear.

I think a few lads here have obviously got spoiled by the golden generation of 13/14 minor teams. Of course we don"t have a generation coming on tap like that but we do have plenty of good hurlers in and around the training panel who could develop further with exposure to training levels and games.

Thats all we can ask really and young lads will have to be brought in as has already started happening. Even allowing for the golden generation of 13/14;how many people here in 2017 would have seen Flanagan, Hegarty, O Donoghue, the two Morrisseys, Gillane even as mainstays of future Limerick teams never mind multiple All Ireland winners. The current crop will naturally come to an end and we have no option but to develop and support what we have coming through.

What’s his best position?

Heard one or two more are called into the senior panel. Including one lad who’s a loss to the footballers.

CD?

Yep

I heard he was off to Oz. He’s had no luck with injuries.

He basically hasn’t hurled in two years because of injury. Athletically, he’s a different beast now.

He’s not

I’m amazed he didn’t get called in maybe two years ago when you see some of lads that were getting chances.

He’s a freak physically and is the type of lad who’ll just on improving and improving.

I asked them straight out what he needed to do after he didn’t get on the panel that year and was told they felt his speed of hurling wasn’t quite there yet.

I felt it was ahead of one or two of the fellas who were in there in half-back positions but they obviously disagreed.

But athletically, he’s on a different level again having been inside with the footballers.

I’d have agreed his speed of hurling isn’t at the level of the best of the squad but surely the one place he’d improve that is inside in training with them.

Any lad I’ve seen go in with them even for a year or two has Improved his hurling immensely.

If WOD can do a job in HB I’m sure he can.

Gotta live the cloak and dagger nature of @thelimericks postings

This CD character cannot be named but he’s the second coming

Christy Dominus, he has serious potential, raw as fuck though.

Who said he was the second coming?

They are talking about cathal downes. Fear of the dark forces

100%. He’ll improve massively if he makes the cut.

The gap between the first 23/24 and the rest is still fairly substantial though, probably take any new players the guts of 18 months to even make a 26.
