What won Cork the game in croke park last year was with every puckout and every ball they played the opposite side of Kyle Hayes and kept him completely out the gameâŚWhen Kiely and Kinnerck eventually made the switch of Hayes to 6 and Hannon to 7 Limerick took over but it was too late.
Hayes at 6 from the get go will mean Cork will have to change their approach

what was the year, a bang average Cork team ( Meyler was over them) had to go to the Gaelic Grounds and beat Limerick to stay alive in the Munster Championship and Cork won the match? I think they pulled Mark Ellis off a supporters bus before the match to recall him to the panel and stuck him in at centre back
Anyways this my expectations, that this will be the first of 3 matches between them in 2025 - they ll meet in the Munster final and all ireland final as well
I havent a clue who ll win next week, Cork to win the Munster final and Limerick to win the All Ireland. There will a draw stuck in there somewhere with ET required in one of the finals

They ate us on breaking ball in the second half though.
That has to be fixed. If it is, Iâm fairly confident weâll win. If itâs not, weâll be in bother again.

We havent fixed this.
Tipp ate us the first day and even though we beat Waterford they did very well on breaking ball against us. They just hadnât the legs to use it against us.

Clare came up with a revolutionary tactic of marking Deccie Dalton in the Final in which he was ineffective and called ashore on 50 minutes.
Meanwhile Kyler spent 55 minutes sunning himself under the Cusack in the Semi Final while Dalton went to town.

I agree with you about too much being read into the waterford game. Limerick were good bit better than waterford but that was hardly unexpected.
Cork are miles better than waterford. Mahony, Curran, Lyons wouldnât make the cork panel. Thatâs not to say limerick wonât win but theyâll have to perform for 75 minutes and curb fitzgibbon, Barrett and Hayes.
I think Cork would be better playing Barrett at 11 and Fitz on Nash
Barrett better at covering and to help when Nash bombs on forward.
Weâll be doing well to keep it pucked out to them.
Dalton scored 2 points. A savage return alright.
It is organised chaos. That is a very well coached puck out landing on Hayes at the tip of the D. Every player knows their role. Clare negated it well last year by illegal means which a less lenient referee than Johnny Murphy would have blown numerous frees for.
