Youâd be annoyed if training was fixed for that time on a Thursday, nevermind a senior championship match. Anyone working till 5 would be under fierce pressure. I suppose in one way youâd be feeling light after having lunch at half 1 and not getting a chance to eat dinner beforehand. Grand for NaP being near the GG but Doon had a bit of a spin in.

Nothing to do with inter county rivalries but ive never heard of a match at that time on working day mid week .
players can go away and have their weekend with their family/girlfriend whatever. A lot of lads arenât 9-5:30.
Iâd also gues those two particular clubs would have the stroke to have these times changed if they really wanted. NP play at this time quite a bit I think.

Iâd imagine serious outfits like Na Piarsaigh and Doon would still be doing a Sunday morning recovery session for sure. Maybe it suits players who are WFH but 6pm would be tricky for the vast majority on a Thursday. Youâd have to be there for 5 or 4:45 for a rub down. If you work any distance from home thatâs difficult.

Vast majority of lads on here sadly only started following hurling in 2018.
I was hoping this morning the fixture wouldnât be fulfilled.

The thing is youâre right, these lads are completely different. Itâs probably why theyâve lasted so long.
Not drinking is a massive advantage in a lot of ways.
