Whatâs Barry Nashâs injury?
I see Donal Og called out the pace of Coughlan and Byrnes being problematic on the wings last night.
Surely itâs time to look at CON there.
First time seeing Limerick live in a few years.
Theyâre conditioning is the most striking thing. Leaner than I expected.
They were in 2nd gear most of the day. The ref, almost laughably towards the end, did his best to keep the match from being a turkey shoot. Offaly will be murdered by Cork but if they get everybody back should be up to the standard in Leinster. They could easily lose to Kildare or beat Wexford.
I was impressed with Finn and Casey. I had assumed Finn would be dropped this year but he looks in better health than last year.
OâConnor was the standout player. He is a bit greedy and just shoots at every opportunity. Most of them went over in fairness. One of the few times he passed it , he pulled off an outrageous over the head hand pass to set up a score.
English is a lovely hurler too.
The two main men, Lynch and Gillane, were probably the least impressive. Gillane got very little supply but was surprisingly easily marshalled by Ben Conneelly.
The hit on OâDonovan was within the rules but verging on the cheap shot territory.

Seems to be a bit more zip to Limerick so far this year.
All the winning takes it out of you.
Not a clubman no but would be great to see him back for some of the Munster champo, he will be needed as lads have alluded to above

Spot on with all of that. Finnâs been written off plenty but takes a while to come back fully from major injury, Casey has also been in really good form. Itâd be hard to leave one of them out and presumably theyâre battling for one position if Nash and morrissey are both fit. AOC is class and stepping up big time, Iâd prefer him on the wing to 11 until he does start to link up more. We donât need Lynch or Gillane tearing it up just yet, I wouldnât be too worried about them. Thought the Offaly keeperâs puck outs were excellent even if none of the Offaly fans around me appeared to appreciate them and were fucking him out of it whenever he didnât âhit the fucking ballâ.

Offalys puckout setup was very good. They often got the ball to half way uncontested.
Limericks defensive setup v puckouts was very lax
There was a very annoying BIFFO lady behind me freaking out, âdrive long ta fuckâ.
She must have screamed it 50 times

O Donovan, Hannon , Barry Nash and cian lynch probably made that short passing game of kinnerks really work. Hannon is obviously gone and now two more injured. As good as lynch is heâll be man marked a lot easier without the likes of hannon and o Donovan. An awful lot of the play makers Mia at the moment.
Iâm still confident if we can just sneak out of Munster. Imo we have gotten a pearler of a fixture list. Well nearly have to be close to our peak v cork and you donât want to be near your peak too early do you.

Hopefully Nash will be back, and DOD. English is nearly like another Lynch in his vision and ability to connect and CON is an addition too. Hopefully we can find more of a balance this year between the long and short game, looks like we are using short pick outs again this year.
Disappointed Englishâs point mid way through the second half wasnât in the highlights, it was class.
Last night The far right Limerick GAA telegram group had a snap of DODâs scan from Santry. 20 euro a year is very little to pay to be privvy to such information weeks before itâs in the public domain.
