Seanie OāBrien was sent off in the second match and we were actually losing at half time by a point if I recall correctly. Had the wind in the second half and won by 9 or 10 in the end.
That was Byrnes debut?
Truth be told the gap between games is ok. Losing a provincial final is nearly more beneficial in terms of game time. But I would love to see us hit the 20 mark in Munster. Plus I feel an AI is probably beyond us this year so a provincial would be just reward and a good sign.
In 2016? Could have been or did he not play against Tipp in Thurles that year?
- He was unused sub actually.
I see heās back, scored 11 points the other night. Big boost.
We might stay up yet!

Their best publicist since Percy French
thereās an air of Roy Keane about him in interviews, the intensity of the stare or something. I canāt put my finger on it.
āWhose phone is that?ā
I wouldnāt like to cross him. Put it that way

Remember Tom Ryan used to write those columns in the leader years ago which covered politics, farming and hurling.
I remember one time, he had something like: āItās that time of year again, the smell of cut crass, and the start of the hurling season.ā He then went on to describe getting a kick from a bull and as he was panned out in the shed, he was looking up at the roof and saw the birds nesting and though how magical summer was. He then launched into hurling talk.
The bauld Tom.
A great man to go off on a yarn.
Tom Ryan and Ger Loughnane on Sunday Game would be class.
Not a great man to make changes though and Offaly hitting every ball in on top of Joe OāConnor.
How twee.
