Did you hear that?
No, not at all. I watched the interview with Kiely . He didnāt seem adverse to it. Look itās just a hunch. I could be totally wrong here. I donāt think Kiely is the kind to take a risk if heās not sure.
If heās flying in training heāll get a run in the last 20 Iād imagine. Murphy and Pat Ryan have done nothing wrong.
Casey is a different animal alright. Potential to put up a huge score
Donāt think he will start after not playing in 10 weeks. Will there be any changes apart from Gillane? Is it worth freshening things up or largely leaving things as they are and not rocking the boat.
Thanks for that.
I wouldnāt be reading too much into that at all. Who knows though.
Probably not rocking the boat. As I said my biggest concern is the energy we had to produce to get a result last week. We had to put in an extra 15/20% and weāre due another scorcher on Sunday. I would expect changes to start co ing thick and fast at the 50 minute mark.
On the p,us side Hannon should be well fresh
Iād go with the same 15 and pat Ryan for gillane.go balls to the wall. If we win were qualified and can freshen for Clare
If results go our way at the weekend, I would expect wholesale changes for the Clare game.
Very little chance really with the current format for players to show a bit of form and dislodge any of the current 26.
Going by what Iāve seen this year, Iād imagine Murphy will get a start. Who comes into the match-day panel is anybodyās guess.
I agree. I also think Murphy will start and imagine that Peter Casey will be his replacement in the subs. If he doesnāt go for Murphy, David Dempsey will get the nod at 13.
Unchanged other than that.
David Dempsey hasnāt really impressed Off the bench.
Thatās fair enough I supposeā¦ What exactly are they looking at tho? A good few lads had to be fucked for the last 10 mins against Cork but drove on. You canāt measure adrenaline or heart I suppose.
Iād be tempted to start him and see what he has. It can be hard coming into a game like the Cork one which has taken on a life of its own.
Is it Casey or Dempsey??
Dempsey. Casey as sub.
I think Dempsey has been alright off the bench
Youāre looking for fellas to come in, work hard, get on a few balls and hopefully get a score or two.
He operated quite deep both times.
Personally, I wouldnāt really fancy him as a corner-forward, would prefer Murphy (or Nash) for that position.
Timber Tom tipping Waterford to win(he also tipped Tipp and Cork previously) said we have beaten no one and told me buy the paper Saturday for his column and come back to him afterwards!
Dempsey might be an option corner forward to relieve Flanagan from dropping back. Dempsey could fulfill that role and let Flanagan stay inside.
Dempsey is also bold and will put the head down
