Very unfair call considering Tippās 3rd week out & the level of changes Derek had to make.
I actually thought the Cork LK tie was way too open & that ye left it behind ye truth told.
I think we did as well. We left em back in very handy. That point dropped could cost us yet.
Even before Gillane had the brain fart it was way too open. It suited Cork lovely whereas a tight rough affair would have seen LK bully Cork into submission imo.
The pace of the game was a level above normal championship games for me. Thought the standard was unreal.
The first half was shocking bad. Zero intensity.
We didnt really get going until mul gave it back to Coleman
Harry, me old pal, fuck off and worry about Tipperary. God knows thereās enough to concern you there.
The sniping at Limerick has become tiresome and weāre well capable of doing that ourselves.
Iāve good time for you so donāt make me bring down the mowing bar.
Dowling back for the frees. To be fair Tom did well on them last week but if weāre honest i wouldnāt necessarily say they were difficult ones, he was blessed. Had to be scored all the same says you.
Flanagan scored a lot of points starting in the centre and drifiting out to the wing with balls into space. I hope weāre not robbing Peter to pay Paul here. He could get bottled up the corner if heās left there.
Canāt wait for this again, this championship format has been brilliant.
To be fair the sending off totally distorted the game in PĆ”irc Ui Chaoimh. Cork were always going to create space against 15, never mind 14. So much pace in their team theyāll always stretch teams. A point in the circumstances was actually a great result imo, pity we couldnāt finish them off alright late on though.
High pace but loose as fuck.
Not sniping aul lad. A neutral perspective but maybe you donāt like that.
I think limerick v Cork was like too lightweight boxers going at it. All about speed and movement. When two teams like that meet it can come across as zero intensity but in reality itās the pace and agility of the players meaning there isnāt many physical challenges.
We were flying it in the first ten mins or so but we really lost our way for the most of the rest of the half. To be fair the loss of Hannon was significant as even in the short time he was on he had sent some lovely ball forward.
Keen to see us get more from the subs this time. Theyāve had a big impact in each game over the last few months but didnāt get the same kind of return against Cork.
This is what I donāt like about the new format. I think intensity has dropped ( bar LK v Tipp ) in most games. The cut & thrust of it isnāt the same imo.
Would agree with this. And especially when you have goalkeepers who can ping ball into space for players like Nash, and now Quaid to an extent can do, itās very hard to drag it down into a battle. Plus you have a Limerick team now who can let their hurling do the talking now anyways.
Ennis will be our third game on the trot. Weāll be running on fumes. Iāve zero hope or expectation of going there and getting a win if needed.
Lose to Waterford and I think we are in serious bother.
That Waterford team named is dangerous, think weāll win alright but I was more confident ahead of Cark being honest even though it was away.
Be surprised if thereās more than a couple of points in it.
Dowling could be a master stroke as an option to go over the sweepers. Have runners off him.
I wonder will Hayes follow Gleeson and nullify him?
A scuttery one point win will suffice.
After last week youād wonder if subconsciously Waterford will get a few decisions this week tooā¦
Whoās the ref
He better lock on those helmet straps.
