Limerick GAA - All-Ireland senior hurling champions 2018

I remember listening to the last few minutes on 95fm, Liam Aherne unable to talk with tears choking him at the final whistle, pure magic.
Darragh O Se stealing the point in the GG was the chance lost though

The penalty that never was in Cork, was a disaster!

I was at both games. The worst part was hearing the football quarter final draw in the car on the way home. We went to croker anyway and witnessed the mayo rebirth

Someone came up to me on the pitch afterwards who must have read TFK and said "Sid Waddle will love that " (@Sidney was a massive Limerick football fan at the time). I don’t know who that person was. One of the best nights. I came away as high as a kite, just randomly beeping the horn at everyone on the way home.

I remember seeing Henry & being in awe of this celebrity so close in proximity to me. What a night.

I was up in the Cusack Stand for the A-I semi final v Clare in 2013.

Went for a piss at full time before embarking on the long, miserable journey home. Coming out of the jacks who passed me only our pal Rory Hickey. Just summed up the day. When it rains it pours…

We’re around long enough not to get carried away.

Ye were 10 points up against us in 2007 in a three game saga. What’s your point

@Copper_pipe would have lamped him if he was out of nappies!

My point is clear.

It’s not about getting carried away, there’s no logic in expecting Waterford to win to this game tomorrow, it’s poor mouth stuff from limerick supporters when they deserve to be bullish, crippled by fear maybe?

Waterford were thrown a life line last week.
Limerick had to give an extra 20% to get a result last week.
The last 15 will decide this and it will be the bench that’ll decide it.

You thought cork would beat Limerick so what do you know?

It’s not “yerra” stuff. Waterford were in the A-I final last year. Four points off a Galway team who most people can’t see being beaten this year.

They have to win. They blew Tipp out of it last week at certain stages. They’ve the likes of Moran back while Gleeson & Mahony will come on a tonne after last week too.

If you were to pick a combined starting 15 between both sides you’d probably have more Waterford players in it. It’s going to be a proper battle, anyone who thinks Limerick will have it handy is a fool. We’ve a dreadful record against Waterford and teams who employ sweepers generally in recent years.

I wasn’t afraid to make that prediction, I called a tight game, I’d fancy cork in every game except Galway, that’s a bit of bias but I wouldn’t be talking up an inferior opposition either

I wouldn’t be calling Waterford inferior. I’d be hoping we’d win but we are still the new boys.

I did always think that the game that would most suit Dowling would be this one, but I am still a little surprised that he starts just because he hasn’t featured at all to date; I thought he would have been well suited to the Tipp game.

Is it a frees thing? Because Dowling is a better freetaker that Gillane & Morrissey. Or was this always going to be the plan? It’ll be interesting to see what role he plays.

Good to see Nash back in too, I’d love to see him in form and playing; think he’s the biggest goal threat in the squad.

Waterford have some very good players, and will throw everything at us, they have to. But there shouldn’t be any complacency or anything and I think we should just pip them by a few points, very impressed by our composure to date.

You’ve heard nothing you useless cunt.
You come from a useless county who
Embarrass themselves year on year.
Shane is a winner.
and has done far more than you’ll ever
do you sad little man.
