I love the lads debating the full forward line as if any of the three that started yesterday contributed to the defeat, or a change would have made a difference. We had a set of backs and midfield whose delivery went to absolute shit despite having two loose men at in the backs, we were completely overrun at midfield despite lynch’s efforts, and aside from some good moments from Tom Morrissey our half forward was completely and utterly ineffective. Solution? “Take off the corner forward he’s doing nothing” or “Dowling doesn’t suit our system”.

A lot of mistakes made against Claire but Limerick will learn from it and will grow stronger. There is no doubt that the year has already been a considerable success and what is happening now is a great bonus. Onwards and upwards and well done Kiely and panel.

Between league and championship it was the first really sub par display this year. Just stuck to the ground. Can’t really hammer the players or the lads on the line for one bad day. Every team in the new set up has struggled playing on the third successive week.
Three weeks to prepare for the next game and I’d hope we’d have that zip, freshness and spark back against the losing Leinster finalists a week later. It was very disappointing yesterday but we’ve had a good year overall.
Also well done to the minors. A provincial final appearance for a side that wasn’t heralded at all at the start of the year.

We beat the shit out of Tipp and Waterford. Should have beaten cork with 14 men and got a trimming from the AI champions elect. Plus promotion. A better than average year already.
