Heās a spoofer of the highest order.
Lads forget about the footballers until tomorrow, proper business is upon us.
Kev will come Along now and tell us all he knows the goings on of limerick Gaa because he done Pilates with tom Ryan and richie Bennie five years ago and actually lived with John kiely while he studied in Ucc.
I donāt think that a two or three tier approach will work in football because it will just go the same way as the hurling. It will get fuck all national coverage. They donāt even send cameras to the mcdonagh cup matches which is hurlings second tier. If there are three levels in football, none of the lower teams would get any coverage. Take Wicklow as an example. They will get hockeyed in their next match against Dublin, but at least there will be a buzz around the county and build up to it and theyāll get decent highlights on the Sunday game. A good Wicklow crowd will travel to it. Like Carlow last year. That will raise the profile of it.
If they are stuck in a third tier then TG4 might show the final live with 2000 people in Croke Park on some Saturday in early July. Everybody says market it properly and have the final before a senior semi final. If the GAA did that and had proper coverage of it I might be in support of it. But its one thing being aspirational. You have to be realistic. The GAA havenāt done this with hurling. If they really wanted to develop weaker counties Ring and Rackard Cup finals would be on before the senior semi finals.
If we go down a tiered approach in football, I donāt trust the GAA to do enough to give the weaker counties any publicity and the interest in players giving their time to commit to their county could fall even more.
Is there any gaa related radio on this morning
Getting giddy now
You are correct in playing the finals later in the season and tying in with the first line competition. That would be a key part of the structure .
Spike is back in town anyway. He just walked in to the gaelic grounds here bold as brass.
Would like to see billy Lee meeting him this afternoon after calling him out for āfuck upsā
