Limerick GAA - All-Ireland senior hurling champions 2018

Ya I was thinking would they keep WOD in reserve for midfield given how attritional it can be.

I would say it’s unlikely unless something like that occurs where we need to improvise; he was moved back out once we got organised. Too important as a forward imo.

Yeah, agreed. Extraordinary events, but himself and Hayes are options for that line.

We’ve hapes of forwards in the subs. I think we’re light on wing back cover through form and inexperience

We do have plenty of forwards but absolutely none of them can do what Hayes and Hegarty do for the team. The whole way we play is based around the 3 lads on the half forward line

I would say that half-forward and half-back are where we’re lightest.

I would say that the next best option for half-forward right now is DOD. Who obviously is starting midfield. Dempsey hasn’t really put pressure on the starting 3, Reidy hasn’t got a run in Championship and Nash is a good option but definitely a different type of player and hasn’t set the world alight either. I would have had Dowling as a sub in the half-forward line with 20 minutes to go but Kiely hasn’t utilised that option yet.

Half-back line has been the same throughout; WOD did a decent job there against Cork but again, no one really put pressure on the starting 3 to demand inclusion.

Whereas Casey, Murphy, Pat Ryan and Dowling inside have all had impressive runs from the bench for the inside-forward line.

Other side of that is that our team is obviously set up to make our inside-forward line look good and succeeded until Ennis.

They’re important but surely management have contingency plans in place if we lost one of them. Savage athletes alright. I think reidy is there on the subs as he is a big tall runner too.

If one got injured in the first half, it would be Reidy in, I’d say. Better striker, better pointscorer and more natural forward than either Kyler or Hegarty but just not a better player.

He’s used David Dempsey up until now but his form has been poor enough. Kiely seems to fancy him for that position though.

Hopefully all goes to plan tomorrow and the backs get on top.

If hegarty gets to a stage where he’s converting 80% of his shots he’ll be marquee

Put the ball over the bar and into the back of the net and let no more be said about it.

There’s no sympathy in this game for anyone.

All the one to Doon. They’ll still lose.

The weather for tomorrow don’t look too good

You were telt.

Advantage kk.

Adare give a walkover in their last group game. YET AGAIN. Cunts should be fucked down Junior B for their troubles.
Messes up score difference etc for everyone now if it comes down to it

Nice piece that, Kyle Hayes is a great young lad.

It’s fucked now, but Croagh/Kilfinny already had the best scoring difference even before the walkover, so maybe they can be deemed top?

Feenagh/Kilmeedy beat Monagea 2-18 to 19 points

From the Milford GAA site

Nope, scoring difference cannot be used now so that table doesn’t hold up. All 3 qualified teams have beaten each other and have 6 points each. West Board are talking about a 3-way-play off to determine placings which has a load of bollox. If all 3 teams agree then the names will go into a hat and first out straight to Semi finals and next out is second placed team etc etc. Croagh/Kilfinny really fucked over here by Adare to be honest
