to be fair the only reason I donāt think heāll start is because none of the lads that are there deserve to come out and he is a serious weapon to come in off the bench.
if he does start thereāll be war by the NAP haters.
If theyāre not as good as a fella in the bench then they may deserve to be dropped, Casey is the best forward ye have,
If Pat Horgan was injured and regained fitness they wouldnāt be foostering around with some honest fella who scored a few points in May, heād be in
He always reminds me of a young Joe Deane absolutely deadly when he gains possession.
I agree 100% with you
Kiely has built this big ethos around if you have the jersey you hold it. He might feel he has a loyalty to that. I dunno.
As glas said, itās a major risk not starting your best forward in a big game. The lads that are there seem to be up to it though, so hopefully the risk pays off.
ya. oceans of hurling and a wicked first touch.
Deane was a great bit of stuff
We played the game of keeping our best forwards on the bench in 2013, itās a dangerous game. Mulcahy is not a better player than Casey but he was the best of our full forward line the last day, the form heās in you couldnāt drop him. If Gillane is subbed who takes the frees? Also, Casey will guarantee an impact, which none of the others do. Itās a very hard call. But looking at the 4 semi finalists we have the least threatening set of forwards in terms of scoring power, especially with Dowling on the bench too. I donāt think we can afford to leave Casey on the bench.
Thatās the long and the short of it for me.
we are going to need goals Sunday.
Casey wouldnāt have left any of those goals chances behind him the last day. Maybe that swings it for him.
Whens the team named so this can stop?
Quarter past 2.
9 bells tonight.
Itāll only start in earnest then. Tonight and tomorrow will be carnage
Nor Dowling.
Casey is our best forward but he wonāt start. The full-forward line were all very good the last day.
Iād start him but Iād be very surprised if Kiely will. It would be so harsh on the player dropped.
Casey is our most natural scoring forward but the issue is that he missed a lot of the year and I am not sure if could yet do a lot of the early work that needs doing .
After 50 minutes he will be primed .
Keep Casey in reserve for the final, weāll win this pulling up
This should get a few of the Corkieās flapping
The only reason he isnāt starting is fitness.

They did score 17 points from play in the last game!
Our forwards, 5 of them, outscored the Cork forwards from play in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
Casey is a class act but weāve been racking up massive tallies, bar the Clare match. If we really did lack scoring power, Casey would be a guaranteed starter.
Maybe weāll pay but the players have all bought into the fact that if you perform, you will hold the jersey. It spurs the subs on to really deliver when they do come on.
The clare match highlights how important getting team selection is. We need the balance.
