Limerick GAA - Box Office

Cian Lynch starts at corner forward in place of Peter Casey

The rampant professionalism in Limerick GAA on show once again as the programmes sold out half an hour before throw in.

Grand crowd here. Limerick by 7 or 8.

Good start looking lively,Galway have breeze Lmk lead 3pts to 1.

Galway only scored one from play with a gale behind so far.
Limerick the better side according to gbfm.

HT Limerick lead by 1. 1-13 to 15.Lynch with the goal…I think!

The two best sides in 1B serving up a competitive cracker in the Gaelic Grounds

Lovely day over in the open stand and a fine match - one of life’s little pleasures.

William O’Donoghue having a decent match. Hopefully we can kick on with a stiff breeze behind us now.

Wasted on those cunts

Horrendous game of hurling. Two wanker teams.

Let’s have a report.

We counted poor on the radio commentary once galway woke up

Wha??

Given the supreme confidence of Limerick posters during the week, can we get a report on how things went pear shaped after a strong start.

The second half was woeful turgid shite. Didn’t think we’d beat Galway at the start of the league so wouldn’t be overly disappointed, but having had a good start and with the breeze in the second half you’do have hoped for better.

Midfield were fairly ineffective after the first 20 minutes. Jimbob as quiet as I’ve seen him. Replacements were slow to be made which was frustrating considering the options available.

Defensively fairly solid but there are a few players at the rear who are fond of booming the ball as far as they can every time they get it. D. Byrnes could do with being “rested”. While Canning was notionally on Hannon for good periods of the game and gave an exhibition, tbh I thought positionally Hannon was good and is very clever in his use ball.

We’re still a bit light up front, particularly if we’re playing a long ball game. Dempsey impressed, eager and direct. We looked very sharp when throwing the ball around in the first 20 mins, but once Galway woke up we resorted to type. I know the ref blew up the quick puckout a lot today but we are fairly one-dimensional from restarts and, dare I say it, “set-pieces”. Hit and hope.

Brutal game of hurling, two shit teams. Simples.

We are always supremely confident. It’s the Limerick way.

How did Captain Fantastic do today?

Nothing much to report. James Ryan was atrocious, Gearoid Hegarty won’t do at centre forward and we reverted to Tj Ryan tactics in the second half

What were Galway like?

Poor enough. A bit cuter than Limerick though.
