The major failure of all the ard scoil teams was not producing a full back or centre back the best 6 they produced was Conor Ryan and once again Darragh Carroll a midfielder was out there this year. Doon CBS produced English. But outside this it’s been all forwards
Is that an insult to Laois or a compliment to Cork?
Maybe but we can’t say much with the way Tipp ran through us last year.
A lot of that was down to pure procrastination on the bench
Ars scoil ris has yet to produce a proven and consistent top inter county player for limerick in any position.
Will ye win the league lads?
Limerick haven’t produced such a player since Eamonn Cregan in fairness.
Conor Ryan never played centre back for ASR so hard to credit them with producing him. He was seen as a midfielder/half forward at underage level and I dont think started at Harty level during his leaving. He didn’t play minor for Clare and didnt play centre back til his last year at under 21s
Cathal McInerney was centre back on the 2009/2010 team that made the breakthrough iirc.
Correct. By far and away the best player for ard scoil I’ve seen.

.16. Jason Gillane (Patrickswell)
17. Gearoid Barry (Kilmallock)

23. Brian O’Grady (Kilteely/Dromkeen)
24. Jack Ryan (Doon)
.
3 Mungret in the starting team, 2 Ahane, 2 Adare, 2 Garryspillane. Connolly corner-back last year, full-forward this year. The two Garryspillane boys in the full-forward line are supposed to be electric.
They are absolutely outstanding players. Garryspillanes under 16 team last were the best coached underage side I’ve seen in limerick. I’d say 8 or 9 of them will easily make good senior club hurlers for the bouncers. Not sure of anybody involveded with them but their a credit to their club.
Mungret/St Pauls.
Where are St Pauls?
It’s just mungret St. Paul’s.
It’s great to see old christians with a lad on the panel.
John Kiely giving two Junior A hurlers a place on the senior panel should be equally applauded.
WTF!
How did you make that up?
He is playing lads who play for Junior A Clubs , not Junior hurlers . A big difference .
He (Casey) was taken to the cleaners 3 times at least when we allowed Cork play low quick ball into Cadogan…
You don’t see any contradiction in that statement?
I pointed it out earlier already - I was just clarifying what happened for the poster I was replying to.
Stop being so tetchy because he is NAP player.
Hopefully Hannon!
