He did - Part of a three man set up with Lynch and O’Donoghue. He did ok but faded second half - Like O’Donoghue his work rate and battling off the ball was good but headless at times on the ball, looking to force it… But he was a late change so hopefully he can push on this week. Same for O’Donoghue, he has all the physical attributes but is raw as fuck. A run of games might give these lads confidence to push on.

Nice team to be fair although midfield might find the going tough and I still wouldn’t have Hickey in there. The only real crib about it that I have is that the captain is not and will not be guaranteed his place. I think its a ridiculous situation that the captain on the field will not accept the trophy or make the speech if there was to be, in our case, a miraculous win this year.

That might be true but it still isn’t good enough. Have no fear though, it won’t be a problem come September. As long as we win tomorrow and get to a final and win that. I’m fed up to fuck of moral victories.

I don’t think it’s a huge issue really, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jim-Bob did start but there’s no problem in having an on-field captain too, never bothered Kilkenny.
