What’s the age profile of the current crop like?
Unless they had a year in the 90’s up senior, but that’s before my time.
Young enough team, most of them are 24/25.
Horrendous conditions in Askeaton also. Castletown/ Ballyagran pulled away in the last 10 minutes to win by 5.
Claughaun were up by 2 at half time but only managed a point in the second half.

I’d say Askeaton / Ballysteen met Galtee Gaels at every year they were both intermediate in the 00s

The weather was absolutely disgusting this afternoon. I am soaked to the bone. No surprises in the junior.

Strange game, 3 up at half time and only one or two going well. Gave away a soft goal then in second half and they got on top and were 3 up with time nearly up. Got it back to a point and our wing back got a super long range point to level it with the last kick of the game.
Got two soft goals in extra time then to see it out.
Sean Casey at wing forward and Maurice O’Sullivan at full back were our best on the day.

Well done Galtee Gaels really have to admire them ,great passion for football and great support really getting the most out of that team. Griffins will fancy there chances after group game but could be tight.
Well done to Oola also should make for a great final and super to see an East team back at the top.

A bad two weeks for us across 4 teams
Our lot are sick, sounds like they made a mess of protecting the lead including two black cards.
I dropped a batch of them to the club a while ago and reckon they will pour it out of their systems by 3 or 4am

We beat griffins in the 97 inter final, I think they then went senior in 98 or 99.
Gaels went senior at some stage but I can’t recall when. They beat us narrowly in semi finals in 95 & 96.

I hope the hurlers have a beano in Sandy Lane some begrudgers conveniently forget we went from nowhere to holding the grand slam back in July AI champs League champs Munster champs and most importantly World Champs that we will successfully defend in November.
