Handball is a super sport for fitness, agility, speed and, obviously, eye/hand co-ordination.
A bit surprising more intercounty or even club players don’t play it. There was a great tradition of it out our way but sadly it has drifted away since a few of the stalwarts who drove it on passed away.
There was a fella used hurl with us in the 90s who used to play handball if he got turned onto his bad side or bottled up or whatever he’d just hand pass the ball 50 yards down the field instead
The One Wall handball is an American game but very suitable for schools starting up as basically you only need one wall. Getting more popular over here now.
