If you may have been at the match today you would have seen a stellar performance from NCW. Played Effin off the park. The standard in that team and in intermediate in general is not that bad
it is come on. take Na Piarsaigh and Doon out the equation we would be in big trouble across the board.
14-12 up. down to 14 men
The only lad not born and bred Na Piarsaigh at the moment would be Kieran Kennedy from Crecora.
How are the swimming classes going?
That’s some win for ye. Should be a humdinger v Croom. Both quarter finals today won by the sides in group one. Only table toppers Glenroe left in group two.
NCW v Croom.
Na Piarsaigh v Glenroe.
NCW need to give up the rugby and soccer and become a hurling force. Have the population to do so.
Barry Sheedy sent off for Kilmallock, could be interesting now!
15-12 9 mins gone
Even Kilmallock in decline now will be for a few years.we better make hay from this team or that could be it for a quite awhile. we stole a march with development panels underage everyone else has caught up and overtaken.

On best advice they closed the pitches for a month after the flood. I couldn’t find out exactly why. Must be the salt water. So the seniors are training wherever they can get a pitch. Mostly in St. Patrick’s.

The standard of club hurling has never been higher. I presume it’s the same in other counties too, as the standard of the game in general has gone up over the past 15 years.
But the general standard of Intermediate has definitely gone up on just a couple of years ago too. There were a lot of very poor teams there a couple of years ago but the likes of NCW & H/H have improved massively in that time. The stronger teams probably aren’t as strong as they were.
Then you have the likes of Castletown/Ballyagran who have been bolstered by a few talented youngsters, same in Croagh/Kilfinny.
Maybe the likes of Kilmallock & Adare aren’t as good as they were previously but Kilmallock would still beat most clubs in the country and Adare are still handy enough but the likes of Na Piarsaigh have set a new standard altogether for clubs.
