Limerick GAA - Fuck bogball

That 14 could be gone twice

NAP getting their dander up now

Hanley and Grimes will surely get a proper run for Limerick in the league.

Save by Hennessy!

Red for Robbie Hanley.

NAP going through the gears now, unreal.

The standard of the last 10 minutes was horrific. Both sides reverted to just lumping it.

Kilmallock brutal, they were gifted an opportunity and fucked it away.

Nap minus their two best players and A man down still win easily.

Straight red to lynch? Out for final?

Yeah.

Who was reffing it

Thought you were a hurling man? A buffer

Very poor game!

Mike Sexton.

Jaysus.

Kilmallock had the better of the first half, but had the wind. Kevin O’Donnell struck a few points from distance but at no point did they look like feeding the full-forward line.

Na Piarsaigh were down to 14 fairly early on in the second half, and Lynch had been quite influential but Kilmallock didn’t seem to have a clue what to do with the spare man. Paddy O’Loughlin was free (and he did alright individually) but Na Piarsaigh still had loads of men spare and were able to work it up the pitch.

NaP were three points up when Robbie Hanley, who had probably been the Kilmallock player most likely to make something happen. That seemed to wake Kilmallock up; they played a lot of ball in towards Robbie Egan but he just couldn’t make it stick- he would catch it initially but then drop it. Oisin O’Reilly got no ball. Graeme Mulcahy then, out in the middle of the field, and they needing a goal inside.

It’s not like Na Piarsaigh were particularly good, they made lots of mistakes too. They really miss Casey & Dowling. Will Henn was lively inside and I thought David Dempsey did a bit. Conor Boylan was very quiet, Kevin Downes was poor, neither Pat Gleeson nor Alan Dempsey made any impact. Breen got a couple of decent scores. Grimes & WOD were good.

For Kilmallock, Hanley & Micheal Houlihan led the charge in attack. Paddy O’Loughlin was good and their backs did okay under pressure but the tactics were crazy. That will surely be the end of Brudair & Wall.

Are the Well good enough to beat NaP? If they don’t have Casey, then maybe. They’ll need a lot more from Gillane though; and a general level of improvement on this afternoon. Their full-back line is shaky and you’d think someone like Downes could do damage against them, even though he wasn’t great today.

Half time here in Mick Neville Park.

Townies 2-06 Landed Gentry 0-04.

This is bubbling away nicely, an undercurrent of niggle and seethe - I’d possibly expect a mass brawl before this is out.
